Snaps' TRIPE Question 8
The Snapsinski Test of Responsiveness, Intelligence, Perceptivity and Elucidation (more commonly known as Snaps' TRIPE) is used to examine a person's excogitations of insensate disquisitions, inter alia (ie. a person's thoughts about senseless babble, among other things). Question 8 of Snaps' TRIPE is shown below.
"Question 8: Sort the following list of 9 words into three groups, with three words in each group. Clearly explain why you decided to group the words in such a way. The words are:
behave, count, fit, infect, lead, place, play, respect, use"
Of the many hundreds of thousands of people who have attempted to understand Snaps' TRIPE only one person, Mr. Richard Shunary, received full marks on this question. He sorted the words into the following groups.
Group 1: infect, play, respect
Group 2: behave, fit, lead
Group 3: count, place, use
Can you explain why he grouped the words in this way?

Hint
Mr. Shunary was careful to DIStribute the words appropriately so as to not make a MIStake.Answer
The reasons given by Mr. Shunary for these groupings were:Group 1: words that can have the prefix "dis-" added to them (disinfect, display, disrespect)
Group 2: words that can have the prefix "mis-" added to them (misbehave, misfit, mislead)
Group 3: words that can have both prefixes "dis-" and "mis-" added to them, though not at the same time (discount, miscount, displace, misplace, disuse, misuse)
