Brain Teasers
The Witch
The Seekers of Knowledge had to do another task for the mayor of Raptin, who has become grateful for their efforts and services for the town. This time the task was different, as it was a personal quest. They were requested to go and fetch a special cooking recipe for the mayor's wife. The special recipe she wanted had to be obtained from a very old witch in the woods. The group told the mayor they would go and retrieve the recipe for his wife.
They hunted many days in the woods before finding the old and mysterious woman. To their amazement, she wasn't old looking at all. In fact, her beauty was a ray of light through the darkness of the woods.
They spoke to her, and told her of the request for the special recipe that the mayor's wife wished. She listened with great intent, and laughed lightly when they had finished speaking.
She stood silently looking at the 5 of them, as if she was judging them. The eerie silence broke when she finally spoke and said, "I do not grant anything for free. If you wish to receive the recipe, then you must open this bottle for me." She handed Thad a wooden bottle with a sly smile upon her radiant face.
Thad took the bottle and read:
To open this bottle you must find what is common about these 2 words:
1) Permutation
2) Reticulation

Answer
Each of the words uses each of the vowels, not including y, at least once.1) E, U, A, I, O
2) E, I, U, A, O
The group spoke to one another, and came up with the answer. The bottle crumbled; there was a parchment with writing left on it. The witch spoke again, "That is what you seek. Take it to the mayor's wife, and tell her that I will come for my payment on the night of the no moon."
