A spoonerism is a pair of words that when they have their initial sounds switched, they make new words. They do not have to sound the same, and may be separated with an 'a', for example 'fat horse, hat fours'.

That was really cute, I've read about Spoonerism before. I didn't get any though, I think I was think they were going to be like...actually things, I was trying to think up a sad song that also could sound like a horrible salad.
I've never heard of spoonerism's before!!! Well - I think I have, but never knew what they were called - I'd like to do this myself for a teaser - - very clever and CUTE!
I remember Spoonerisms from high school English classes! These were great fun!! I had a bit of trouble with the salad/ballad, but stuck with it till I got it. The best part is, Rev. Spooner was a real parson who would make these switcheroos during his sermons, adding sun and fur-prizes to church attendance.
