Sari the Apothecary decided to branch out and also offer essential oils and flower essences to her clients, in addition to her normal products. She would address the elements they were lacking, associated with general life issues they had with her new product line. After taking a course, she promptly forgot which essence, element and essential oil went with which symptom/need. She did have this list of clues. Help her figure it out before she loses all her clientele!
Essential Oils: Geranium, Lavender, Sandalwood, Lime, Eucalyptus
Flower Essences: Sweet Chestnut, Cerato, Crab Apple, Cherry Plum, Pine
Elements: Fire, Air, Earth, Water, Air
EO Properties: clears Nasal passages and stimulates skin to release toxins; assists Emotional release process; grounding into Power and Truth; release Density; augments ability to release Grudges
FE Properties: master Forgiveness of self and others; transcend Ego/negative ego; transcend Shame; transcend inner/outer Judgment; release Pain
1. If Sandalwood goes with Crab Apple, then Grudges goes with Fire. Otherwise Shame goes with Emotions and Cerato goes with Air.
2. Sweet chestnut is associated with 2 of these 3: releasing Pain, Eucalyptus, Fire.
3. Either Judgment goes with Earth, or Cerato goes with Emotions.
4. Essences are: the one with Lime, Cherry plum, Fire, Power/Truth, and Pain.
5. Each in the first group goes with a different one of the second group. One of the 4 won't be included with the first 3: (Ego, Judgment, Grudges) (Water, Forgiveness, Lavender, Eucalyptus)
6. Forgiveness must be fueled by fire. Water always goes with Emotions, but not with Ego. Sniff Eucalyptus frequently when you have a stuffy nose.
7. Of the five, there are Power/Truth, Pain, Fire, Cerato and Lavender.
8. Earthy Sandalwood helps you feel grounded and its essence counterpart helps with Shame.

Hint
If you're *really* thorough, go through the clues just once. Otherwise, it takes at least three times through to get all the answers. Don't give up!Answer
Yippee - fun grid patterns1) Geranium goes with Pine, fire, releasing grudges and mastering forgiveness of self and others.
2) Lavender goes with Cherry Plum, air, releasing density and transcending ego/negative ego.
3) Sandalwood goes with Crab Apple, earth, grounding into one's power and truth, transcending shame.
4) Lime goes with Cerato, water, releasing emotions, and transcending judgment of self and others.
5) Eucalyptus goes with Sweet Chestnut, air, clears nasal passage and stimulates toxin release through skin, and releasing pain.
Lavender is the only essential oil listed that can be used "neat", meaning directly on skin. Otherwise, you want to sniff, use in a water mister, or make a salt scrub with small amounts of the oils.
Flower essences are ingested. You either add a couple drops to water or you drop them right on your tongue.
Essential oils and flower essences have subtle effects and it takes time to notice the difference in oneself.

Thanks for the feedback! So, was it content or difficulty that you liked?
Great one! I enjoyed both the content and the difficulty level. Very well written and great fun to solve, keep up the good work.

WOW!! I got really confused on the second time through the clues, but AWESOME puzzle!! I want more!!
I liked this grid but it was a lot more easy than I had expected from the rating but good job
I've been really testing the waters, dragon. I'm going to try to go for more difficult, but I want to make sure they still get approved.
That was great! I was daunted at first, but when I started reading it, it wasn't so bad. Yet, I got the effects of the oils mixed up wee bit!
Wonderful teaser Splatt. I've got to share this one with my friend she loves the oils and stuff.
FINALLY!!!!!!!!! LOVEITLOVEITLOVEIT!!!
Very good teaser. It's in the top 20-list
You are so good at making these Splatt! Very challenging and entertaining. Keep em comin'
Very fun! It was confusing that there were two air elements though.
once i noticed the pattern on the grid, it was very easy.
Nice, but there's 3 answers to this that I can see. You can also swap Air/Earth between Lavender and Sandalwood, or between Lavender and Eucalyptus.
This is inaccurate, and was addressed via PM. There is only one possible solution.
Bleh...earthy schmearthy.
not an earthy person myself, and I don't like it when there are grid patterns cause it forces you in the right direction. OK I guess.
I've loved both the teaser and the information about essences and oils! I love and fear the either/or statements, as they open up a world of possibilities. It was challenging, and a pleasure. More, please!
i agree about the either/or statements -- they make it that much harder!
but I got it the 2nd time around!!!
loved the info too -- all-around great puzzle

Absolutely looooved it! This one took me awhile and few read throughs of the clues, but it was well worth the effort!!
I never could place Air, Earth or... Air?
nice puzzle. got it the first time through. I need to start paying more attention, because I didn't even notice the grid pattern until the mention in the solution. Is there a scent for awareness?
I was having so much fun with this puzzle until I noticed the pattern in the solving grid. That took all the fun out of solving the puzzle.
Very good I got them all right
Is there anyway to resolve where air/earth/air go other than the grid pattern?
@dt31 - last clue: Earthy Sandalwood means Sandalwood goes with Earth. That leaves you with Air/Air which doesn't matter which one you put where (unless of course you want to make the pattern come out right ...).
I actually got down to four empty squares in the grid, wondering what I had missed, just starting to go back over the clues ... then realized I was down to Air/Air ...
