Logic-Grid
Logic Grid puzzles come with a handy interactive grid that will help you solve the puzzle based on the given clues.Logic-Grid
Four friends (Sarah, Max, Jen, and Maison) are going to see a movie together that starts at 12:30pm. They each have different last names and drive different types of cars. Can you figure out which last name and vehicle belongs to each person, and what time they left for the movie?
First names: Sarah, Max, Jen, Maison
Last names: Sadler, Pack, Melkus, Baron
Cars: Mustang, Camaro, Jeep, Van
Time left: 11:00, 11:15, 11:30, 12:00
1) Sarah married a man named John Sadler. She was not the first to leave her house.
2) Max (who did not leave first) does not drive a Mustang.
3) Maison Baron left his house 30 minutes after Jen (who does not own a Mustang).
4) The person who left second owns a Van.
5) The woman with the last name Pack drives a Camaro.
6) The person who left last (who is not Mr. Melkus) owns a Jeep.

Solve a Puzzle

With the last names missing, I'm not sure it can be solved with the clues provided. Fun concept though.
I'm just glad I got something right today
very much like all the rest locic and logic-grid teasers... but that's the whole point, right?
there isn't anything 4 the last names but i'm smart enough 2 do it in my head and great teaser too!!
The grid is done wrong. There are no last names on it!
Ok I don't know how to make corrections to a puzzle but it needs to be corrected with last names put on...
Hmm, sorry the last names didn't show. I'll work on fixing that for you. Thanks for the comments!
The teaser was fun but it isn't possible to figure out. Sorry.
The teaser was very easy to figure out even if the grid was messed up, you just have to pay attention to the clues. Good job!
I want my puzzles to be on here, but they are still being processed, only a week to go.

Easy to solve even if there isn't a place for last names.
It is solvable without the last names due to the fact that there are only two of each gender. Don't go so fast and it's easy.
um... you gave clues for last names... and I can't solve the puzzle without the last names... Once it's fixed, I'm sure it'll be fun to do.
I think there was a problem with this one. I found out everyone's last name, but Sarah and Max had matching stats so I had to guess which one drive the Jeep and which one drove the Van.
That was pretty good. I enjoyed the grid being wrong. It made for a really great teaser. I actually had to think, hard . Which I don't usually like but I enjoyed this one. Good job, dreaminggemini!
i just made up my own grid for this one, working off what you had set up...it was interesting cuz i had never given much thought to how to set up a grid before ...once i had the grid it was a great puzzle, not too hard but not crazy easy either. it struck a nice balance
I figured it out without the last names showing. It was a very good grid.
mskiwi...The person who left last (who is not Mr. Melkus) owns a Jeep.
The only two choices are Sarah and Max, and Sarah is not a "Mr."
It was very easy, even without the last names.
dreaminggemini-maybe you could just take out the clues w/last names, if you can't fix the grid...

The grid still does not have the last names so I made my own by hand and then it was pretty easy. Several people say that it is possible to solve it without the full grid so I will try again. Anyway, good job Dreaminggemini!!!!
Well, I did it with the grid with only three variables and it still was pretty easy, I guess i'm getting better at this it still is a very good puzzle, in my opinion Dreaminggemini
good puzzle even without the last names. it was frustrating to be given extra information but it was the only way to work out the puzzle.
Great fun! I thought that having to use the last names was a wonderfully different twist to this!
Nice to have something a bit different for a change!
what happened to the last names on the grid solver?
Even without the last names in the grid i solved this in less than 5 mins. You just need to stop and look at the names already given. We are told that Sarah is Sadler, so that only leaves 1 choice for the "woman whose last name is Pack". Same with the clue for "Mr. Melkus" only 2 choices available...use some common sense, errr...logic! Can't expect to have everything handed to you, or it wouldn't be called a puzzle. Good job, dreaminggemini!
There were no last names on the grid solver...
No last names showed up but people you can easily fix that yourself.. take out a piece of paper and write down Sarah, Max, Jen, and Maison. Match the last names based on the clues given!
great teaser, btw!
great teaser, btw!
the teaser wasn't bad. figuring last names weren't hard.
With 5 kids distracting me I usually can't follow anything not on the grid (unless I get out paper), but with only a few extra looks back at the clues to make sure I had it straight , I got this one ! (with no paper!)
Hi
I agree it is possible to do the puzzle without the last names, but without any indication of what gender Max is, threw me off (Max could be Maxine(F), or Maxwell(M) or even Maximillian(M)).
Using unusual names for freshness can be a good thing, but if the clues depend on identifying the sex of the character, you do need to give a hint on their gender, even if the hint is obscure.
Max may not be a female name in the US, I don't know, but this is the World Wide Web?
Otherwise a good teaser, I'll look out for more of yours.
