don't know you but i gotta admit i loved it
Brilliant!!!!!
The actual teaser was hard, I thought, until I read that hint. But it was very good, and I liked it.
I was all over the place with possibilities until I read the hint. Totally gave it away. Back to my coach and on to new teasers.
Hint made it easy.
Have to agree, the hint totally gave it away. Without it, I doubt I would have gotten it right. Thanks for posting.

Like others, I couldn't have gotten it without the hint, so I rated this teaser hard, but the hint made it easy as pie.
I'm like the others. I couldn't figure it out, until I finally looked at the hint. Then I knew it. Thanks! That was fun!
I agree with many others who got it with the hint. Very well written, very clever.
Great! How Celtic of you!
Yes, the hint gave away what you wanted us to know, but I do not see the connection with some of the things you say. A stage opens itself up and closes itself? Someone has to pull the strings. Explain someone please.
I got it without the hint, but didn't understand how a stage had wings?
The spaces behing and to the sides of the stage are often referred to as wings.
I miss-read the hint. Too early in the morning. I thought the hint said "The BIRD says,'All the world is a...'
So I thought the answer was TOILET.
It is called a throne. A place for kings and queens. And every other doggerel uses one as well.
It has wings but cannot fly. The lid and the seat can be look at as wings.
It is usually enclosed within a building. But sometimes it is outside. An outhouse for example.
There are some new electronic toilets that will and and close the lid automatically.
As far as going to other lands, I was thinking about where the waste is transported to.
But I see that I was wrong.

You have to love the comment above this. It is hilarious and some of it is true for sure. I like his or her answer the best!!!
missed it; i never look at the hints...perhaps i should
Is it just me, or do others have the hint box AFTER the answer? I always do these from my cell, so am not sure if it's a glitch.
I saw the hint after the answer, so didn't stand a chance!
Fun teaser, though!

I didn't get it until I read the hint either. I agree with Babe, dsit's comment was really creative!
Fun and entertaining teaser; I got it with the hint.
Me too, never see the hint till the answer is revealed! Nice, fun teaser though, thanks!
Interesting riddle. Pleasingly abstract. I was thinking it was The White House, but then I read the hint. I found the rhyme pattern(s) interesting. The first broken into four, then a non-rhyming pair in the middle, then a change in meter with two rhyming sets. I am not a student of poetry, so I don't know if this is some standard form, but I found it novel.
I never think to look at the hint, so this one was a toughie. I was thinking words, which can be inside your head or outside in a book. Books can take you to distant lands. Quite a puzzler--love it!
