Well then, sad to see another one of my friends go. I'll most likely be voting for Bailey, unless she comes back before round ends. Once we get her, we have an active crowd, and I'll start aiming for people suspicious. But until we get rid of all the inactives, there is not much of a point.

Night timed out, again. Either we have an inactive wolf, the wolves are just choosing not to vote, or we've got someone voting at the last possible minute. Personally, I'm leaning toward options one or two. I'm guessing WittyKitty was just a random food, because she never voted unusually or pointed toward someone. Alternatively, it was a revenge kill if we got a wolf. If our mod was active, we'd be able to figure that out, but since we have no mod... we could always vote off another inactive
Yeah. I don't really care wolf or not, baily is not helping anyone. Then again there are a few that are not.
I am not not sure what to do when we run out of inactives to shoot though. I guess we shall worry about that when the time comes.
PS I am not going to vote yet though in the really off chance she decides to show up randomly. After all the round is not even an hour old. Let us not jump to conclusions just yet, and let's be smart about this. We don't want to lose too many rounds by voting potential(inactive though the be) humans.
I shall wait a while. to hear others thoughts.

Just to explain the SPV thing to mocha613 who says it has no purpose
A seer doesn't vote to shoot, they vote to reveal (which we all know)
So if they vote with the majority, then the person they're trying to get an identity from is just going to get shot and their vote would be useless
SOME PEOPLE (not all of us) should SPV so that the wolves don't suspect the one person who votes differently and then have that one person eaten
So yes, not everyone should but don't count the SPV woting process out
And In That Moment I Swore We Were Infinite

Perhaps the set up changed in the two years I was away, but last time I was a seer, they had one place they voted for who to shoot, and a separate place they requested who they wanted to divine. They could not divine anyone until they had voted to shoot, but they did not have to be the same person. If this has changed, please let me know. That would be a major difference in seer play.

Voting for missbailey because she hasn't been on since she made the account.

So, upon closer inspection, I disagree with you, mjk. It has not changed since I last played frequently. I went back and looked at the last game I was in, link, and went to round 1. I'm copying what I'm refering to here also, but feel free to check out the link and look for yourself.
jpost was the seer in this game, and you can clearly see here that he voted to shoot bababawhomp but divined the identity of TheSlyMrSly. Is this idea that the seer has to vote to shoot the person they are divining really what people think the SPV is?

Wow, I don't think I've ever been seer then. I always thought seer divined at night at the same time the wolves put in their votes.
Now to business. I am concerned that 2 potentially helpful players were eaten first two rounds. Missbailey and Meleotto are still inactives. If we vote off two more inactives, then we are down to 12 players, potentially with 2 or 3 wolves. Even if we have shot an inactive wolf, the active wolves are now getting a free ride by timing out the night.
I am a little suss on 2 players at the moment. But I need to go back and read everything again to see if its more than gut instinct.
I'm going to hold back from voting just now.
EDIt: mjk, in regards to SPV. It actually doesn't help much when we are voting inactives anyway. If tge seer is active then inactive voting is the same as SPV, but if seer is inactive, then all you are doing is wasting votes and making it look like you could be wolf. Or the wolves could try framing you by eating the people you vote for.

Jervis, the seer might do the divine voting at night, I don't recall. It has been so long since I was a seer! But I do know they can't divine without having voted to shoot first.

@mjk, the seer votes to shoot and votes separately to divine, its not like they just divine the identity of the person they vote for in the day...
In terms of getting an actual wolf instead of more inactive voting, the only person I've got as a guess would be tomatoes, as I said last round, and that is just because the first one to be eaten voted for him, but that could have been a frame and/or a random eat. I'm really not sure.

WittyKitty seems to be a random kill. An inactive wolf is very likely at this point
I've got a gut feeling about gymboy09. He has not said why he is voting and I know he changed vote in Round 1 (so he voted twice and both times did not state why) and again in Round 2. The only worry I have is that I think his first vote in Round 1 was against mjk, who random voted for me. So I really don't know what to make of that.
mjk is being consistent in random voting, so I am inclined to think is human. Tomatoes, I am not sure about, with the fact that he is studying, it's hard to tell.
@mocha, if our seer is active, they definitely voted in round 1 because only the inactives did not vote. 3 active players did not vote last round. kmrutledge who was travelling and probably ran out of battery, Ihmisen and hermygranger. hermygranger posted first, Ihmisen didnt post.
EDIT: OOPS Sorry Tomatoes, I was too lazy to double check.

Too tired to read the discussion right now, so going for an inactive.

Anyway, I'm going for another inactive since the night timed out.

Sorry about being away for so long yesterday. I have been in Malaysia, and I found an adapter, but my laptop was so dead that I had to let it charge before I could use it. i also had to check other things before I could get on braingle too. I have never been the seer so I can't help this discussion. And BTW I got on last round, but forgot to vote, sorry about that. If y'all want to see some pics of malaysia, I hvae 65 photos. Here is a sample.

I will not be on for the rest of the round, and probably won't be on for the night either, because we leave out in the morning, so I won't be able to get on until we get back home tomorrow evening. TTYL!!

Regarding the SPV conversation, I was told in my last game (I have been away from Braingle for a few years myself) about how the SPV thing works...
So if that's not true, then that's definitely good to know...
Not voting just yet, as we have a bit of time (to see if our inactives come back or not)...
But will definitely vote before I leave work today...
Five-by-Five...

baily gets my vote this round.
It may changr* if someone or something more concreate comes up. I don't like the way thhis is tournong out, but at least we are getting rid of inactives. Which again may be a good thing or a bad thing.
Man this is kinda frustrating.(

I agree, it's frustrating not being able to hunt for the wolves. I'll be voting this round again for an inactive, but having shot 3 inactives out of 4 after this round, I reckon we need to flush out an active werewolf in the next 2 rounds before shooting the final inactive.
I will vote for missbailey, as I think that she should have been shot first up. (sorry for sounding like a scratched CD / broken record). lol
Edit: I just found that game that was posted the definition for SPV. JQPublic posted it from a talkbox (which I cannot find)... Sorry to Faith and mjk13, looks like you were misinformed (and I dont think JQPublic was even a wolf in that game!)

I almost slept through the end of this round... I am going to vote for missbailey for inactivity.
I'm also just warning you guys, I am not going to be on as often this weekend because a friend is coming to visit. I'll be on maybe twice each round to catch up and vote, but that's it.

Sorry then! I must have been misinformed in my last game because it was explained entirely differently....
And In That Moment I Swore We Were Infinite

I'm going to go ahead and add my vote for Bailey.
I will say, one thing that players do need to be aware of when trying to protect the seer is not to vote too quickly. If we had all piled on votes for Bailey at the beginning of the round and hit the threashold of 9 before the seer had a chance to come on and vote, then we could have prevented them from divining anyone.
Also, on the note of the seer, while we are losing the opportunity to get wolves by voting inactives, at least the seer is having the chance to use these apparently wasted rounds to divine people. That is, if they are not themselves inactive.
