Well, that threw me for a loop. What a memo. It almost hurts my eyes. And I can see why we don't get a clue, cuz that was a LOT of mandatories.
The Boss really needs to go back to/stay in school!
I through in a safety vote for Ammer. Will check back to see if we're joining a majority this round or if anyone looks suspicious.

Hmm. I thought we were supposed to try and "clear" Ammer this round. At least that's what I read, so it might not be a bad idea to start up the majority. Personally, I'm not really sure if he's boss, rat, or just a very stubborn and really off base employee, but I might try and do what he says in case he's boss trying reverse psychology. Although we should be careful in case he's rat, as then he may appear cleared, but may also continue to lead us astray and get employees fired.
Anyways, unless something else comes up, I'll lock in a vote for Ammer.
Why didn't the Libertarian cross the road?

2. There are three possibilities now:
a. The boss is really telling the truth and just gave away the identity of the rat and put themselves in a worse position than they were.
b. The boss is not telling the truth and is just trying to let you guys think that I am the rat, that way you will not trust me and instead trust someone else, who may coincidentally be the boss and/or rat (the real rat I mean).
c. The boss is really telling the truth but is hoping you will fall for the reverse psychology and count me out as the rat.
3. However, note that LogicalRoger did not even question the boss's memo, even if the boss was telling the truth, how would he know the boss was telling the truth? I for one would be cautious at believing what the boss writes in their memo, but LogicalRoger did not even question it, he just agreed with the boss. I find that very suspicious.
Braingle certainly isn't what it used to be, good things don't last forever I guess.
but i guess not rat if he helps me out and stops being so obviuos.

I don't understand why you think that. Perhaps someone else could help explain it? The boss said "he", which, if I'm not mistaken, could refer to any male player, particularly active males, of which we have a few choices, not one. And that's assuming the boss is telling the truth when they say "he". It seems to me that you're supposing that the boss is referring to you simply because you want to, not for any actual reason. You're assuming that I am boss and working backwards to think the boss is framing you instead of doing it the sane way and trying to figure out who the boss is from what you're given.3. However, note that LogicalRoger did not even question the boss's memo, even if the boss was telling the truth, how would he know the boss was telling the truth? Unfortunately, there isn't a way to clear you entirely, so we'll just have to settle for clearing you of boss. I can only assume who you're going to vote for. I don't suppose this very blatant attack against me would be a ploy to shift the majority to me instead, would it? Because it certainly doesn't sound like you want to be "cleared". Surprise, surprise.
Why didn't the Libertarian cross the road?

All that said, your point about taking the memo/psych answer with a certain amount of salt is a good one. And the one thing that is clear is that you and LR should not be left alone together unless all of the sharp objects have been removed from the room.
In any event, as we were discussing at the end of last round, we need to start clearing people; and I for one am happy to begin with Ammer and am voting accordingly.

I didn't get that from the memo, actually; and I find it interesting (although, I suppose, somewhat unsurprising) that you would assume that everybody does (or at least publically take that position)..... Although we should be careful in case he's rat, as then he may appear cleared, but may also continue to lead us astray and get employees fired.

Strictly speaking, you're referring to the psych question rather than the memo; and under the rules, Boss *must* tell the truth in his answer to the psych question (although the answer can be misleading). All that said, your point about taking the memo/psych answer with a certain amount of salt is a good one. And the one thing that is clear is that you and LR should not be left alone together unless all of the sharp objects have been removed from the room.

Can't argue with that. Wonder what the story is there. Keeping my vote on Ammer.
Amen. I'm voting for Ammer as well. I will take the sharp objects with me.
don't be confused just vote for me, it's what I've been saying the whole time, the sooner you clear me the sooner we can clear other people.

I think Ammer is the boss.

I guess I'll vote for Ammer too, then. Might as well clear someone definitely rather than throw illogical (no pun intended) accusations around.
About the whole memo/Rat stuff: The Boss generally thinks the Rat is being too obvious, even when he/she is not. The Rat could still be anyone. Gender-specific pronouns don't make a difference, either; some people use "he" to refer to a person of irrelevant gender.

Looks like Ammer isn't Boss at any rate. He acts like Rat; but then he predicted I'd say that....

And... seeing as how the game is not over... (drum roll please)...
I...
am....
not...
...
...
the...
boss!
(i hope that was dramatic enough for everybody)
Edit: Oh, and since we are on the topic of clearing people... LogicalRoger, would you like to offer yourself as being the next person to be cleared?

Ok, so Ammer was not the boss. But we have found ourselves the RAT! Yup, Ammer has been ratty this entire game. Strangely pointing the finger at only 1 player, instead of trying to suss out the boss like the rest of us are doing. Either a grudge of some sort or he's the Rat. Or both
As for me, I suspect EMB92, Emma (especially since she hasn't posted), fireheart, Fitzr, PsychoMikey (who's been suspiciously quiet.), Shadows and TechA (also suspiciously quiet.) Logical is my last suspect. At least at this time.

i cant even start to figure out the first memo and you expect me to write it now......
If LogicalRoger does not offer himself up to being cleared, it's obvious he is the boss. Why doesn't he want to be cleared?

Ammer - You're being painfully obvious. I would have expected better from you based upon the number of games that you've played...
Yeah, if there's one thing that's been done throughout this entire game, the only annoying constant, it's Ammer's constant attack on me and dismissal of all other possible choices. I mean, he's not willing to look into anything if it doesn't have to do with me. Either I am boss and he somehow knows something (I don't even know how he would know that though, unless he's the rat or cheating, his "ways" have obviously been moot and one's persistence based on nothing has never been worse) or the strange truth, truth to me at least because I know I'm not boss and have to face the other alternative, that he is trying to pull something. I mean in what other game has a player been after someone from the start, the very start, and has continued on gut feelings alone ignoring all possible alternatives such as how Emma and TechA didn't even seem to vote, yet still survived. He didn't even think to question that, did he?
Clearly he has a huge grudge against me, and I should probably stop defending against his "logic" as it will just make me seem like boss or rat. But I've always gotten wound up when confronted and this is even worse as it seems the person confronting me has no evidence at all and some trick up his sleeve and frankly I still don't know what that is. Still, just because he says he's not rat, and attacks those who even suppose such a possible idea, I wouldn't trust him.
Vote whatever way you want, I'll be looking at the possible boss connected with the rat, Ammer. Maybe someone from round one who he defended? It would seem unlikely for Shadows to be the boss, as she seemed to insult his "logic", but you can never be too sure this game.
Oh and Ammer, if you really want to find the boss, not just continue to hold this grudge, why don't you solve the boss clue or even try to work on it? It's right there in front of you (unless it's a different clue, but I'm assuming it's boss) and will be proof positive. Perhaps because it leads to the real boss? Either way, I'll be back to look at that later. I'm also confused as to why you always egg on people to vote one way or the other, not during the round you want them to vote but before.
Why didn't the Libertarian cross the road?

If you are for clearing people, clear me. DO IT!!! Let's clear the duck.
I agree that Ammer is acting awfully Rat-like; but in the interests of continuing as we've started, I have no problems with voting for LR next round. (Not declaring a vote yet, you understand; but the principle is sound.)
sorry everyone for not posting i came on and safety voted for ammer and i didnt have time to post
I think too that we should clear Roger next round. That way, we'll know for sure, one way or the other.
EDIT: You're not supposed to state your vote after voting ends.

safety vote for me means nothing, as I was already cleared, I'm not the boss. If people don't mind voting for LogicalRoger, then that would be great.
I will promise you one thing: If we get a majority vote on LogicalRoger and he is not the boss, I will shut-up for the rest of the game and not say another single word.
Braingle certainly isn't what it used to be, good things don't last forever I guess.
