Kitty: We gave you a chance in you WWG and you abandoned it. Not being mean to you but other need to know how you function in this "society" known as Braingle.
I am telling you all this...DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GAME!!!!
Kitty will abandon it and you will spend forever locked into this game only to have it abandoned by the mod. You will have more fun playing in a game with an active moderator and you will actually get TO PLAY the GAME.
Look at moderator ratings BEFORE you sign up for a game. This will help you in future decisons of gameplay
Like what you love, and love what you got.

You may want to listen to others. Note how long this game has been in signups and only 3 of you have bothered to join (aside from us warning you away). Games by good mods (Rny, Snow, Spid, etc) are full within a few hrs of being created. THINK ABOUT IT
Maybe the dog only brings the ball back because he thinks you like throwing it.

hard to think that after the warnings someone else actually joined this game

Well, some of us join stalled/abandoned WTB games in an attempt to help them get off of the sign ups board (although they do seem to disappear on their own eventually).
But HABS, Longhorn, and Izzie are right: if you want to play a WTB game, please go join one of the others available. Kitty will not be back to moderate this game, so it will end before it actually starts.
Also: just because you CAN moderate a game (ie: Braingle will allow you to) doesn't mean you SHOULD. Please read jarmihi's The Braingler's Guide to WTB Moderation. The role of moderator should not be taken on lightly.

I'll hang out here for a while and help warn people who want an actual game.
After games by Oldcustard and snowmonster get going, I'll start a new one.

I'm going to go over to Tintin's game to see if I can help it fill to 15. (This game needs 20, and we're not getting anywhere.)
Probably be back. Except if Rhy starts his game, 'cause then I'm going there instead.

figured id put this account to some use
With kids you spend the first 2 years of their life teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next 15 years telling them to sit down and be quiet.

okay, all you loyalists, it's time to pay your dues and help the Braingle site get rid of a deadbeat game. It would be better if the Braingle people would help themselves by coming up with a way for deadbeat moderators or moderators with low scores to be prevented from starting games. Maybe there is a provision that it will time out on its own. But it has been over two months since this game started accepting signups and it is still here. And will remain here until some appreciative self-sacrificers step up and get this game going.
Edit: On a particularly different note, to our moderator, who does come on every once in a while, what is homestuck?

Since there are currently no un-Keyed good-modded games available, I have returned to help kill this game.
I'm still unsure about the timing out of games. As I said somewhere before, the games may eventually time out of the Games in Sign-Up list, but they don't disappear completely or disband. Just like finished games, they stay around on the Braingle website, you just don't see them - after all, they've been assigned a number. And all of the people who signed up for an unlisted game are still stuck as signed up in it; they can only get out by following the link offered when they try to sign up for a different game. (Ex: "You are already playing in Who's the Boss #2901. You cannot play in more than one game at a time.") So yeah, I still say it's better to get these dud games started & finished so they're at least officially closed.
@ jpost: Homestuck is a popular web comic. I've not read it, myself, but as an anime/video game convention goer, I am quite familiar with some of the demonic (?) characters as cosplay (purplish skin and weird orange-and-yellow horns; shirts with symbols on them). But that's the extent of my knowledge - which may also be rather wrong.

Okay, since I don't see an actual game to play, I'll join this one - the best part is, it's helping me get to 20 games, with no effort on my part LMAO
I too have not read Homestuck, but I do know that the characters are based on the Astrology Signs (Taurus, Virgo etc) - at least, that is how you can tell the characters apart (they wear the signs on their shirts) that an hair/horn style. There are humans in Homestuck (I think, or maybe it's just one dude) but as far as plot, I'm not familiar either *researches* AH! Okay, normal dude gets a video game which triggers the end of the world for Earth - he and a few of his friends realize they must complete the game (maybe to save Earth but they get transported elsewhere, so maybe they're trying to escape?) but they run into 12 internet trolls (the horned people we're talking about) that bother them - slowly the story shifts to the society of the troll people & that's as much Wikipedia I could stand to read LOL

^ That was 100% more Wikipedia than I could read! I saw there was an article and I was all, "..eh.." Haha!!

Our moderator says she loves Homestuck. So what does that tell us about her?
Edit: I just checked out the other WTB in the signup phase. I can see where I will going next after we get this one off the list. (Or I could wait for this game to time out, if what kitty-cat says is true.

Well, if March 2nd rolls around and this game is still listed in the sign-ups, then that "2 months and it disappears" thing is broken....

Yeah... LOL! At least we know we're only stuck here for a couple days; we should be free shortly after the weekend.

thanks for the help, newcomers. I suspect some of them are creations of our current users to be dummy participants for deadbeat games like this one. If they are, then I will be seeing them in the next lowest game, since that one is so deadbeat the moderator is not even a part of braingle anymore.

Would be nice if Braingle had some sort of programming to cancel a game when someone cancels their account. But I know nothing about programming, so maybe that's too complicated?

^ I never noticed the title for this game, so I was like, "O-ok. Thanks for sharing those, Rhy." xD
Wonder what she had in mind? She never even bothered to finish her opening post.

Game should be Mod-abandoned pretty soon, no? How long does it take...? (And why isn't there a counter, like there is for the rounds?)
