If by best you mean most likely... yeah gotta agree with JQ's laughter.
McCain basically had the entire R team frothing at the mouth and he was still stomped by over 9 million votes. Romney doesn't even have THAT.
Disillusioned Dems won't vote for him because he's the same as O, but the Blue team wouldn't get credit for it... may as well stick with O. N'mind third party voters.
Plus the advantage all incumbents have... the whole 'don't switch horses midsteam' idea... we're smack in the middle of multiple things...
It may be a close race, who knows really it's all guesses at this point, but I honestly don't see Romney pulling it off.
Of course if you meant best as in would make better choices for our country... then again I agree with the laugh... but might also throw in a cry. Many things O and R have in common. The things that they don't wouldn't be an improvement.

So, who then, has a better chance of beating Oblama than Romney?

At this stage of the game, no one does, but Rmoney won't beat Obama. I think the Republicans shot themselves in the foot having Rmoney as their candidate.

Not so sure bout that. But we'll see. I do believe we could have done better, but those better than Romney, weren't running at all.

The bla is how I feel about his Presidency.

I'm going to step in here and just remind everyone of one of the rules of Braingle Forums. I do not feel anyone has crossed the line, but I can see where personal opinions could easily get out of hand, especially regarding politics.
• While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts.
Thank you. Mod RGW4

If no one has crossed the line, we are fine. I think even a child would understand that bla refers to how I feel about his Presidency, not him personally . . . . when I made that perfectly clear, when asked. So therefore, I am not disrespecting him, only his policies and how he's acting as commander in chief. blah. . . . .

then surely Mutt Romney will be allowed. his obvious lack of significance in light of the office he seeks fits that label well.

I was just laughing at the 'Oblama' typo, which doesn't seem to be really a typo now. Sorry.

Did anyone hear about Limbaugh accusing the Dark Knight Rises of secretly influencing people to not vote Romney?
He thinks because the villain is named Bane, it creates an intentional negative association to Romney since he was the head of Bain Capital.

Mitt Romney basically said in Israel that he would support a WWIII
I hope anyone who votes for him knows what they're getting themselves into. Too bad Canada would be forced into joining too.

we are at a point where the right extreme mentality for war and religion and power have reached a coalescing point that could very well make the next republican in the presidency a threat to us ALL with his control of weapons and war. The whole lot of them is scary for that very reason.
of the two liars on that party in the candidate runoff, the sidekick to rick perry lost... that unfortunately means the favorite of that teabagging group made headway.
both are just as worthless as Mutt or any of their cohorts.
I agree with you Harry, his willingness to support such an action (WWIII) is ominous. I believe it certainly points to the extremity of the frenj that back him.
