Hi! I have been working on this puzzle hunt for a few days now, and I am absolutely STUMPED on level 5.

On this level, you were given a box divided almost like a checkerboard with different boxes filled in. The hint says that the name of the image will give you a clue, but I have no clue as to what the image is called!

Can anyone help me??

The filled in boxes are the key.

Assign each box with a letter of the alphabet.

Ahh...thanks much. I will see if I can figure it out.

Wait, the black boxes are the key?

I'm having trouble with level 7. The hint says it uses a Polybius Square, but that generates numbers, and the encyphered text is letters.

I don't think we should be posting the answers, but I'd be happy to give you a hint if you post the question here.

What was #2 about nikitafullmoon? I will be happy to give you a hint! Like Trillionare said, I also don't think that we should be just giving out answers.

Please post the question here. We cannot go back into the game once we've completed it.

numero dos!

After a few minutes of thinking you quickly solve the Caesar Cipher and blurt out the answer, "---------". As soon as you do this, you hear a beep coming from a previously unnoticed device sitting on the bathroom counter. You pick up the device and notice that it has a small screen with a message written on it:

==MESSAGE==
Congratulations, you have passed level 1. If you get confused about this code, don't forget to look up.

.... .--. .- .-. --. . .-.. . - ... .. -.. .-. --- .-- -.-- . -.- . .... -

==END==

Well, that is a strange message. You set to work...

It looks like morse to me, but deciphering it as morse leads to a bunch of gibberish!

EDIT: removed answer from previous level

Just put the code in a Morse Code solver. Use that mirror to decode it, though.

Wow, 3 is difficult! I keep going through the list of ciphers looking for names, using the keyword from the previous round, all to no avail! I think I'll sleep on it, but this is very frustrating!

It didn't take long to figure out that it was a Morse Code, but when you decoded the message it didn't make any sense. Thats when you looked up and noticed your reflection in the mirror and realized that you had to read the decoded text backwards. You call out "---------------" and hear a beep come from the device in your hand. The screen has updated:

==MESSAGE==
The key is the country where this cipher's namesake lived.

hfntteyllnvmteslqymrvrusqmeqnia vlgjvjvtbiiykoygzjcfbwvyppreljvtnj

==END==

Now, you're getting the hang of it. You flip through your book and sit down at your computer to work on the latest cipher.

Braingle tells me "Please do not use words longer than 50 characters. It messes up the formatting." so I added a space, deleting it gets the original clue

Further to that question, here is question 7.

Beep.

==MESSAGE==
Don't be a square. Decipher this message and come down to the library.

rdaquobqftxpcnauotgmqlclcxsrcfqudtfh vuoaoppmyiisnwiohqeotwsshcsryrotpdgbqlypdctxc

==END==

So, how can I use a Polybius Square on that, when a PS generates pairs of numbers, and this is a bunch of letters? Is it a two-step process -- i.e., a PS + some other decoder?

Hint, hint? Pretty please?
