I'm sorry but your answer is NOT correct and therefore makes discovering your answer very difficult.
All saxophones except the soprano and sopranino project their sounds upwards because of the natural upward curve of the instruments body. The flute and piccolo's sound are projected sidewards, not upwards due to the way the instrument is played. Also, you should have been specific when you mentioned the word 'guitar' because acoustic guitars do not need amps. You should have named the instrument 'electric guitar'.

I'm in a band at my school and from what I see, all the info is correct.
And about the guitar, If I said electric guitar, it would be to easy.
But I'll take your word and change it

Wait I just looked at 1 and I saw that at the end of a sax, It curves forward.
I'll change it then for the flute
I noticed where the sound came out at
Sorry for the misunderstanding

That's ok, no problems. I still think you should check out the saxophone family once again, because the alto, tenor, baritone and bass saxophones all have their bells turning upwards. (Unless of course non-music students have been let loose in the band room and damaged the instruments, which is a distinct possibility)
Here I found a link

It looks like it curves upward but the way the person holds it makes the sound go forward

I don't want to sound picky, but if you used the argument of how you held the instrument, the sound could go in any direction.
