1 is the loneliest number that you'll ever do. Yep 1 down 3 to go. Cab was an Indian(WOLF). Good job guys.
How's your luck though.
Can you guys make it 2 in 2 rounds.

Well, we have some hungry wolves as night did not time out again. I will await for Stewie to post if Cabaret was human or wolf before posting a vote.

My crystal ball predicts a round spent desperately defending myself only to end in failure, dejection and inevitable disappointment. Snowy's demise doesn't help my cause but I'm happy at least the wolves are picking choices more relevant to the game, even if it does come at my (and Snowy's) expense!
Regardless of Snowy's protestations, ppjones prolonged quietness is suspicious to me, and I would like him to at least explain why he's being so quiet, otherwise I will probably vote for him again.

Awesome, one wolf down! And froggy is still with us. Good news all around.
Sorry to see snowmonster go, she mods many games and doesn't get to play as much either.
Actually, Smithy, I think you're playing the way you usually do. I am most suspicious of masoni, there was a tie between cabaret and ppjones and he voted for ppjones, but then later switched to jervis. Was he trying to pick anyone with enough votes to save cabaret?
I'm at work now, so won't be on again until the evening. I'm putting in an early vote for masoni now, subject to change when I check back in the evening.
There are two kinds of people. Do you spread happiness WHEREver you go or WHENever you go?

I am going to review the last round and see what snowy may have said to anger the wolves. I remember her talking of cab but since cab is no longer here then there must have been a comment about someone else.

I, too, feel that masoni is extremely suspicious, especially this statement he made last round:
I'm going to withdraw my vote for ppjones. I'm not, however, going to vote for caberet. I don't want to have fingers pointed at me later on in the game for no real reason, but just that I was on someone's side, or wasn't on someone else's side. I'm going to place my vote on jervis as a happy birthday present I just don't want fingers pointed at me later for possibly being on the wrong side of this vote.
It sounds to me like he was sending a message to the other wolves that he wasn't going to switch his vote to Caberet so no one could accuse him of voting for a fellow wolf. Now, that's just my interpretation, but it's just a feeling I can't shake. For now, my vote is masoni, but again subject to change if someone else becomes more suspicious later in the round.

I thot masoni's comment was a little iffy but he wanted to get out of that predicament. If you think about it from his side if he voted for cab and she was human he would have fingers pointed at him. If he voted for ppjones and he was human he would have had fingers pointed at him. I do agree that tht was a weird move but there are other people to be more suspicious about.

I have read snowys posts from last round and the only people she expressed any suspicions about was ppjones and smithy. I will wait and see some more posts but I think I will probably vote for one of them if noone convinces me otherwise. PPjones I remember people saying he was clear but I am not sure.

1. Hos odd silence and weird post
2. Cabaret defending him
Check back in previous rounds to look at what cab said to defend Mr. Jones.

What? I still have my froglegs? Thrilled that we got our first wolf so early in the game! Sad to see that Snowy was eaten as she is also a very good player and always contributes to the game.
I've gone back over all the previous rounds of posts and votings trying to find any connections to Caberet - a now known wolf. In my opinion, these are who I feel are humans and why:
Bobbi - She was one of the first to vote for Caberet and didn't change her vote. Wolves don't vote for a fellow wolf unless they are backed into a corner and must vote for a fellow wolf in order to appear human.
Demon - Cleared by timing.
Vlerma - Also voted early for Caberet - a wolf.
Marc - He also voted for Caberet and just doesn't seem like a wolf to me.
PPJ - Even though he has been quiet and has been the topic of much discussion because of it, Caberet didn't waste a second voting for him, even if it was for self preservation. She had also been posting that she felt he was a wolf before she made her vote. I'm pretty sure PPJ is human, but still have a tiny bit of room for doubt if someone can give me a good reason.
I still can't make up my mind about Smithy. He does sound defensive, but he has good reason to considering how his posts have been picked apart. It is also a bit suspicious that Snowy was voicing her thoughts that Smithy might be a wolf and then she was eaten that night. Usually, wolves won't touch someone who has raised suspicions of themselves or a fellow wolf as it would appear too obvious. Therefore, this could be an attempt to frame Smithy. I'm pretty much 50/50 on Smithy at this point.
I do have to agree with the points being made about Masoni. Unless something else is brought out in reference to suspicions of someone else, my vote will probably go to Masoni. I'm not quite ready to vote, so I will be back later to see what else has been posted and to make my vote.
As far as the rest of the players, I haven't formed any real thoughts on them as of yet.
SMILE and people will wonder what you are up to!

I tend to agree with you super, Those are certainly valid suspicions. Smithy is still on my radar though because snowy found him suspect and she is a very good player. He also made comments that may be interpreted as defending Cab. I am still not sure how to vote this round and will hold off for now. This game is starting to shape up with some definatesides being taken and valid suspicions for many different players.

Please allow me to explain myself. If caberet turned out to be a wolf, or someone who had been voting for ppjones turned out to be a wolf, I didn't want fingers pointed at me for voting ppjones. And if caberet wasn't a wolf, and someone who was voting for her was, I didn't want fingers pointed at me for voting caberet. Also, I've noticed that wolves tend to vote other wolves at the last minute if they see that their fellow wolf is going to die anyways. I didn't want fingers pointed at me because of this if caberet turned out to be a wolf. That sort of thing has been my demise inn the past. Both when I have been human, and when I have been a wolf. As well as all this, I was not very suspicious of caberet. It turns out my suspicions (unsuspicions?) were wrong.

I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that caberet switched her vote to pp after she was already looking doomed, so we can't look into the vote too much - it could have been an attempt at self-preservation at all costs, or perhaps even a vote to throw everyone off the scent once her wolfish ways were revealed. I'm not saying these possibilities are more likely, just that we can't rule anything out.

I don't think we should be thinking people are wolves simply because they are inactive or semi-active. Some people I dohave suspicions against though. First of all, I've noticed that jervis is normally more active than he has been this game. I am quite suspicious of ppjones though.
I'm still waiting for Super to direct me to where Caberet defended PPJ. I'm not inclined to think PPJ is a wolf because Caberet seemed intent on getting PPJ from the start and she did vote for him in the previous round even though she could have joined the vote for jervis if she was going for saving herself. By voting for PPJ instead of jervis, she may have been trying to avoid voting for a fellow wolf and trying to keep suspicion on PPJ. I'm not saying the PPJ is NOT a wolf, but that I do not suspect him as much as a few others.
So, Super - where is the post(s) wherein Caberet was defending PPJ?
SMILE and people will wonder what you are up to!

I am a watcher, always have and always will play this way. When people say I am usually quiet, it is because I like to sit back and watch things unfold. Around round #3, I usually start to chime in about my observations, not always the case but that is my typical pattern. I can argue that you like to get so focused on one player that you may miss a clue that another player unwillingly left behind. Or that you are creating such a stir over my actions that you could be influencing others to pay attention to me and also miss out on suspicious clues.
I not interested in judging what is the correct way to play and what is not, just that we all do things differently.

I will put in my 2 cents about ppjones. I have no idea if he is a wolf or human this game, but in all the games I have played with him, he is being no more quiet in this game than any other. As he said, he is a watcher and that is the way he always plays. This is so true whether he is wolf or human. Right now I am more inclined to believe he is human. Now if some want to see this as protecting him if he turns out to be a wolf, then so be it.
I will be back in a few hours to place my vote. I am unsure of where it will go right now.

This is for you froggygg:
In cabaret's first post (before she edited it) she claimed tht ppjones was cleared due to his inactivity. Later ppjones came back and said he logged on during the night round therefore he was not cleared. Cabaret then edited her post to not say that and then started to change her suspicions. Maybe an attempt to save a fellow wolf?

PPJones seems to be the topic of conversation around here. I happen to think there is no evidence against him, except being quiet. Not good enough for me. I get the feeling that Smithy is trying to steer us toward Jonsey and that makes me more suspicious of Smithy. Unless something really strong comes out my vote is for Smithy.

There are two kinds of people. Do you spread happiness WHEREver you go or WHENever you go?

That's undoubtedly the case, and can probably be said of many other players too. But I am looking at other players; I was just searching for an explanation which wasn't initially forthcoming. As I said before, my only recent game with you you followed the pattern you're following now and ended up being a wolf - in my mind, I thought I remembered you being more active usually, but as general consensus seems to indicate otherwise I'll have to admit I'm wrong there.

You've mentioned me enough times that I could equally argue you are trying to steer people against me, leading you to be suspicious - my point here not being that I think you're suspicious, but that I think your point against me isn't too strong, either. I can argue that you like to get so focused on one player that you may miss a clue that another player unwillingly left behind.[/color]

Wow, a whole lot of posts to go though and digest. Where are changhill and jervis? Personally, I think Snowy, sorry to see her eaten, was ousted from the game because she led the shooting of cabaret and I think her demise was in retaliation for such. It had nothing to do with Smithy or Mr. Jones. I know masoni is a new player and may still be confused easily in reading clues, and non-clues so I do not see him as a wolf, just a newbie. Superleaf is trying extremely hard to sway every one's suspicions toward Mr. Jones, and granted he has been rather silent, but he usually is, which really doesn't mean much.
Froggy, I am not really sure why you may have thought you were going to be eaten this past night. Did I miss something, or would you rather just not bring it up again? And auntiesis, bows with respect , I'm not reading Smithy as a wolf just because he and Mr. Jones are going at it. They always do. Now six people did not vote last round, changhill, DemonLord, jervis, ppjones, superleaf and talanpoe. And jervis had 3 votes for him and I am still suspicious of him, even though I did not vote for him last time. I am going to hold off my vote and do some more looking and watching for a bit.
The sound of the wild, but if there is no one there, does anyone hear their howls?

I can no longer check in from work as often as I used to; we're implementing legislation passed 2 years ago and my department is up to its neck in unhappy people. As for home, I confess that I've stumbled into World of Warcraft and have been spending time there. (I feel so dirty, cheating on Braingle that way!)
To business then, masoni's explanation did have the ring of truth. Smithy and ppjones are going at it hammer and tong (not that there's anything new there, as vlerma also noted), so I would be unsurprised to find one them sprouting a tail under the full moon. The question, as Neo so adequately put it, is choice. Either? Or neither?
And Chang always makes me nervous when he's not around. (And when he is, too; but that's another story).
All of which is my way of saying that I tend to suspect everybody, but nobody enough to pin them more than anybody else. Yet.
and talanpoe's post earlier this round made me realise how absent he's been for most of the game, too. I think I'm getting too paranoid about people "laying low"!

Most of the games I've played in, I've played with jervis. I've noticed he is usually a lot more active than he has been this game. And he has logged on a fair bit during the game, but hasn't posted. Hmmm...
Well, I am off to bed shortly as it is my bedtime.
I have learned to put no weight behind anything chang does as it never seems to be what it is meant to be. I know he is usually more active, but we all know RL can unexpectedlyget in the way of these games.
I will cast a vote for jervis again this round. Mainly because I voted for him last round in hopes of sparking some reaction, in which there was none.
Knowledge is not power. The USE of knowledge is power.

I would really hate to get in the middle of this tie to swing it either way but I mite do just that. I truly believe masoni is human because in all the other games we have played together he acts prty differently when he is a wolf and this seems to be his human behaviour.
Jervis has always been active in every game Ive played with him (WWG or WTB) and thts about 5. He was even more active than this on New Years Eve/Day. Im going to place a vote for Jervis because I believe its better to shoot an inactive than an active.

I find it interesting that you are now suspecting people solely because they suspect you.
In dealing with the many problems that arise in life,I like to use mind over matter,If you don't mind then it don't matter!

At this point, I have suspicions resting on a few here. However, there is now a tie between jervis and masoni. Jervis has been inactive in this game even though he has been on site. I'm also not 100% sold on masoni at this point. Therefore, I'm going to go ahead and join the jervis majority as I do not like to leave inactives in a game because it really does hurt the humans as the game progresses. I'll check back before I log off for the nite to see if anything has changed that would cause me to change my vote.
SMILE and people will wonder what you are up to!

I am looking at jervis because I can't remember him posting at all once this game got started, not even a quick hello post. He was online yesterday, yet there's nothing from him. This is mighty suspicious to me. He must have been able to find some time to get online. I'm going to throw a vote his way.
Dear God, That which I am about to do is really stupid. I hope I come out of this alive. Thanks God. Peace Out. (Stage Crew Prayer)

Another example of my posts being misread. I said "my point here NOT being that I think you're suspicious" - I'm not saying auntiesis is suspicious, I'm saying her reasoning can be applied to many people and is thus fundamentally flawed. I hope that's clear!
I have no real thoughts either way on jervis and masoni, and the group have put me off my suspicions on Sir Jones so I will put in a purely fish based vote for wolverine - no suspicion of him, purely a fish vote. I know fish votes aren't particularly helpful in round 3 but I have no strong suspicions at the moment and no time just now to look through previous rounds for clues; I'll give that a go next round.
