Chang was next to be lured away from proceedings by a face he mistakenly thought was both friendly and familiar and was summarily incapacitated.
The conference's twists and turns continue to unfold and confusion is beginning to take hold.

You beat me to it by a few minutes Rhy!
I am really hoping the reason night is timing out is due to an inactive wolf and not intentional. The only reason to drag out the nights is to try to frame an inactive player, but since we are not allowed to check log ins this reason does not apply.
I think we need to consider who (f anyone) has be completely absent from posting and/or voting durig the day rounds.
I don't have time to reread all the rounds right now but have a short day today and should be hoe ust after noon EST (GMT -5) and will take a closer look then.
Maybe the dog only brings the ball back because he thinks you like throwing it.

I think LH was our only absent player last round, but I haven't gone and checked that everyone who voted also posted. I really can't think of any (good) reason to have these nights go the full duration; we've had only one night end early, after 18 hours.
I'm in no hurry, though, so I'll be holding my vote for now.

Yeah, I'm going to hold my vote as well. I hope chang wasn't the seer.

WOLVES - with 48 hour day rounds we don't need the nights timing out too. Please remember to vote so shorten them.
I am looking at dfamina a bit as the post about LH being the only absent player strikes me as sort of trying to take away from my idea to look at activity levels. And 18 hours is still not a short night.
Were I the voting wolf, I'd call out my "partner" at this point!

It seems to me the wolves (if both are night voting) are Seer hunting which is to be expected, but the long nights are not only annoying, but really not necessary. I'm starting to get some suspicions but will also wait until Jayo reveals Chang's identity.

You're right, HABS, I didn't clarify that very well. It was more just thinking aloud than anything else, because I'm really not sure who would be causing the nights to time out, or why.

I'm home nnow. Just going to grab some lunch and toss a roast in the slow cooker then will be back to see how active everyone has been (without looking at log ins)

Humans are eaten in alphabetical order if neither wolf votes. Since Chang was eaten and was 3rd down on the list this means either:
1) One wolf voted for Chang while the other wolf did not vote at all
or
2) Neither wolf voted and Chang was the first human name on the list meaning BU and Bradon are our two wolves.
I'd be more inclined to go with the first option.

Here, but a little busy. Will be back.
I can't tell for sure from Jayo's update, but I think it means our Seer is still with us. I'll go ahead and assume that he/she is and put a vote in for brandon.

How many times does this need to be said - nights are not left to time out to "frame" inactive players, they are left to time out to avoid clearing inactive players. Why should the wolves be expected to hamper their chances by giving us a quick night when some humans can't even bother to sign in a couple of times a day? And, perhaps, this wouldn't be such a prominent problem if people didn't so obsessively follow the timing of the round and tell us to the exact minute that it timed out.
SPV for now.
SPV for now.
I believe our Seer is still with us, since he didn't specifically mention anything. Also, I should've done it earlier regardless, so here's my SPV: Rhy

Putting both of Jayo's comments together to form one thought:
Thee Council, emboldened by their success so far decided that what worked in the first round of discussions might work again.
Again they voted out the one that stayed silent on the debate. They assumed that LH was keeping quiet as she was afraid of putting her foot in her mouth, but it was actually because she was given a mild sedative by one of the Galonians and for the first time, the Council has made an error.
The Key Holder awaits the next round of discussions along with the rest of the Council and the two remaining saboteurs
Chang was next to be lured away from proceedings by a face he mistakenly thought was both friendly and familiar and was summarily incapacitated.
The conference's twists and turns continue to unfold and confusion is beginning to take hold.

Since all the players in this game are active and participating a short night would not clear anyone.
I don't normally pay attention to when a round is supposed to end, but it happened that when I logged on there were mere minutes remaining in the round so I did notice.
Edited to fix formatting and because the game doesn't like it when spell colour correctly.

Given that people have commented that everyone has signed in, it's clear that people are looking, and regardless of whether or not they can "use" it (i.e. comment in the game) I can guarantee if somebody notices someone is 100% clear they will not be voting for them later in the game just because the rules say they cannot act on it.
I will defend the wolves to the hilt over this and I don't care if your childish response is to vote for me. I don't know what point you were trying to make but to admit you have "no good answer" to my response isn't the most convincing argument.

I've been debating saying this because it will sound so wolfish but I'm going to anyways. I leave this site open on a tab and periodically check throughout the day when I can whether or not I have time to actually contribute just to see where the game is. Just like any observant player I notice the "online now" section at the bottom of pages and about every time I see at least one or two faces (er, names) from here. I'm not saying I'm a wolf but if I were I know I wouldn't want to end a night round with my name down there. The other people know they're human and will now have noticed, through no will of their own and without checking login times, information that is damning against the wolf and others that were on. "What has been seen cannot be unseen." That being said, I have noticed many people from here grouped in the chat room. Now, that could mean they aren't wolfs and are trying to covertly discuss human matters (they haven't been invited to the seer box), they are wolfs trying to look human (because they already have a wolf box), or they are unknown and just chatting about benign things (the regulars do seem like good friends). The jury's still out on that.
I'll SPV for slammngirl92.

SMITHY: I understand what you are saying about the wolves not wanting active players to be cleared by short nights, which makes sense when there are players who are not active, but given that everyone has posted in the game, we can (without looking at the log ins) determine that there are no inactive players. Therefore the long nights are unnecessary.
You are right the wolves should not be required to give the humans an unfair advantage, but since the game itself favours the wolves, and the wolves have statistically won 66% of the games played, I don't think it is too much of a detriment to them. This is my opinion on the subject, I know you disagree but it is how I see things.

Because of the "online now" list at the bottom of the website, the end of the night round will be delayed by several hours to prevent players from figuring out who the Werewolves are based on who is online when the round ends.

Oh, I read that before so how did I forget it...? In that case maybe Smithy's thought is right.
Ok, lets all calm down about the night timing out. We can't use login times and we can't control when the wolves vote. It would be nice to get the game goong, but again, nothing we can do other than beg.
The whole timing out thing is pointless and distracting us from the actual game. with that being said, Im going to SPV.

I haven't had the time to rake through this game, and now we are in round 4, I will readily admit I'm coming up short with theories.
In my opinion, the eatings have been fairly straight forward. Some may think that eating chang was a poor choice, but the jury is still out for me. I've been in a few games with a seer box, and there was a memorable occasion where a player claimed to be in the seer box and was left by the wolves while they hunted the seer, but it turned out that player was the seer. It was an annoying game because I was one of the wolves. Nothing is black and white in this game.
As I said, I haven't had time to analyse fully, so I'm going on a hunch. Voting HABS this round.

Ok. I've switched to kmr also. I am still suspicious of bradon. I also have a feeling one of the wolves is either skybet or smithy (not both). In an effort of full disclosure, I generally am not known for my uber hunting skills though.
