Snake DilemmaTrivia brain teasers have some element of trivia in them, but they are not just pure trivia questions.
A man was transporting two similar looking snakes to the veterinarian. One was the Coral snake, and the other was the Scarlet King snake. They both had similar colour patterns, which made it very hard to determine which is which (they both have yellow black red patterns). A big difference is that the Coral is very venomous, while the Scarlet King is non-venomous. As he got them to the veterinarian building to secure them, he realized they had both gotten out of their cage. When he saw the first one, he reached down without a second glance, grabbed it, and brought it inside, knowing that if it bit him he wouldn't be poisoned. How did he know it was the non-venomous snake?
AnswerOne difference between the snakes is that the Coral colour pattern has bigger areas of black than the Scarlet king. The Scarlet King has small stripes of black, while the Coral has large stripes of black, which makes them look different enough to determine which snake is which.
