Glasses and DumbbellsAn optical illusion is a visually perceived image that is deceptive or misleading.
Which horizontal line is longer?
Hold a ruler up to the screen and you will be surprised to discover that the lines are the same length. The illusion is achieved because the overall length of the drawing on the right is longer which fools the eye. Also, the circles in the figure on the left interrupt the line which distracts the eye.
