How Does It Do That? #1 - Worldwide
In an inaccurate book of facts, there was a list of countries' populations that, of course, were incorrect. Here's the list:
ROMANIA = 28,000
PERU = 8,000
BULGARIA = 32,000
CHINA = 10,000
URUGUAY = 28,000
Given this list, what is the population of the PHILIPPINES?
HintThis rule makes ARGENTINA = 36,000 as well.
The rule is that the population is (the number of letters in the country's name x the number of vowels in the country's name x 1000).
The PHILIPPINES has 11 letters and 4 vowels. Therefore, the PHILIPPINES' population is (11 x 4 x 1, 000) = 44, 000.
