Trick
Trick brain teasers appear difficult at first, but they have a trick that makes them really easy.Trick
Mr. Collier is mad at Mr. Greene. The other day, Mr. Greene was in his yard with a dog. Mr. Collier walked up to Mr. Greene and asked, "Does your dog bite?" Mr. Greene said, "No." So then Mr. Collier reached out to pet the dog, but it bit him. Mr. Collier sued Mr. Greene. Later, Mrs. Greene came to her husband's defense. She said that their dog has never bitten anyone, and Mrs. Greene always tells the truth. How can that be?
Hint
A DogAnswer
Mr. Greene was telling the truth: his dog does not bite. That was not his dog that he was standing with in the yard.Hide Hint Show Hint Hide Answer Show Answer

Well, think of it this way, they could have been baby-sitiing the dog

pretty good
This is definitely not a riddle. It should be under "Trick".
i'm on a roll! I got two teasers right in a row! *cheers*
Well mabye Mr.Greene didn't notice the dog and the other guy thought it was Mr.Greene's dog so that's why he got mad.
Another play on words. I'm not too good at these, though so I didn't get it. But good one, though.
easy as pie, yet still cute
Oldest puzzle in 'the book', so to speak. I didn't know some people never heard of it yet...
I agree with jimbo, I think it should be under Trick. Good job though.
cute
thats sweet
Yea!! I, for once, got it right!!! Hallelujah!!!! but I had to read it twice.
kind-of easy? why would someone have a dog that wasnt theirs??? wow
pretty *tricky* but after the hint I got it too. Sweet!
One of the oldest jokes in Vaudeville used as a mystery! Cute!
That's one of the oldest ones in the book. It was actually used in one of the Pink Panther movies.
Good one!
very easy! got it right away but it should under tricks, shouldnt it?
maybe the dog just wondered into the yard
whoa whew!
I think that the clue shoulda helped more. There was just about no relation to the answer. It shoulda said somin like some dog but a dog sounds just as if your talking about Mr. greenes! The clue should be revised! Who's with me!?
Good one. I got it!
And a good laugh as well. Reminded me of one of my Inspector Clousseau scenes
As for the hint, it makes sense to me. the "A" seems to be capitalized for emphasis, as in "A dog" as opposed to "his dog"
