Kitchen Cups
All you have in the kitchen are 2 containers. The smaller holds 3 cups and the larger holds 5 cups. How can you use these two containers to measure exactly 1 cup of water?
Answer
Fill the 3 cup container with water. Pour it into the 5 cup container. Then repeat until the 5 cup container is full and you will have 1 cup of water left in the 3 cup container.Hide Answer Show Answer

that is so funny
Lol... I'm either really tired or just really bad at this sort of thing.. it took me a full minute to get it LOL!
I DONT GET IT!!!
You fill a the 3 cup contain up to the top, and dump it in the 5, so there's 3/5 cups in it. Refill the 3 cup container, and then dump the contents into the 5 cup cup container, until it reaches the top (and totally fills) the 5 cup container. there will be 1 cup of water in the 3 cup container left over from pouring it out.
This was great but since i've heard one similar to it i new it right off the top but nice try.
I GET IT NOW THANX I AM THE OMEGA!!
There are more then 1 answer. Example:
* Fill up 5 cup container
* Fill up 3 cup container w/ the water from the 5 cup container
* use 1/2 the water left in the 5 cup cantainer.

This one is almost like in the movie DIE HARD. But they use gallons.
I liked this teaser Good work
Blue eyes, that doesn't count. You have to measure 1 cup Exactly.
Otherwise you may as well say, I fill the 5 gallon container, and then pour 1/5 of it out.

Holy easy! If you want to make this more difficult, find the way to get 4 cups. Much more fun, and a little bit harder.
Nice teaser!
* Fill up 5 cup container
* Fill up 3 cup container w/ the water from the 5 cup container
* Dump water from 3 cup, then fill with rest of 5 cup container (you now have 2 cups in the 3 cup container, 5 cup is empty)
* Fill up 5 cup container
* Fill up 3 cup container w/ the water from the 5 cup container (leaving 4 cups in the 5 cup container)
* Dump water from 3 cup, then fill with 5 cup container (leaving 1 cup in the 5 cup container)
* More steps, but just as accurate
