Excellent rebus !!!
Short, sweet, and I like the *visual* aspect of it. I gave it the max for fun !!!
Short, sweet, and I like the *visual* aspect of it. I gave it the max for fun !!!
I also want to add that I like it because it uses some tense (past, in this case) other than the present tense. And by *visual* I mean the way it appears on the screen. Good one !!!

??? i dont get it... it doesnt make sense.....
Very nicely done!
"he" came out of the word "nowhere" and was left with "no wre". That is why he is at the top. This would seem like an immpossible puzzle, but it sure was fun... there could have been a clue at the top like "What is this phrase," because not everyone reads its classification... very very good though.
I liked it, good one.
i thought the answer was
"now in here"...duz that kinda work?
"now in here"...duz that kinda work?
cool, I remember doing similar things like that in junior high. They were like NoWhINere for in the middle of nowhere.
sorry but i didn't get it!
I thought it was great I loved it. Really fun!!

Nice idea, but if you look at it, it didn't really make sense.... But, still.. lovely.............
So obvious I missed it. Good one!

i had here and now, even though i knew it was wrong
This teaser needs to have an image, so that we can see that the "he" is directy above the gap.
it is kinda not my type but on the other hand i cant do better
In G/T (Gifted and Talented) we do these all the time! They're AWESOME!!!!!!!!
I, too, had to read Red Baron's explanation before I got it. Without that I never would have understood it. With it, I have to agree that it is a great rebus. Thanks for posting.
I too was trying to do something with "here and now", even though I knew it wasn't right. Great teaser.
Excellent teaser.
Didn't get it. Thought it was bad.
I didn't get it......

Way too hard, but I loved it anyway!
I kept trying to get "he's almost down to here, now. But...
Oh, well.
Oh, well.
I mean, when you bring "he" down to "re" - you get "here."
It wasn't right, though...
It wasn't right, though...
confusing
Didn't get it, but it made perfect once I saw the answer. Not sure what is confusing to some.
AROB
Argh - another one that didn't make sense due to unformatted emails - instead of appearing as it does on the site:
he
now re
Mine appeared laterally:
he now re
I couldn't get past "here and now" from now in here or now 'n here, but I new it couldn't be right, since the here would have been in the now instead to truly make sense.
Ah well - this one is still ruddy brilliant! Cheers!

Like many others, all I saw was here and now - but it didn't seem correct.
I like this one - "HE came out of now re" really is a good one!
Thanks!
Have a great day, everyone!

I cannot imagine why people are saying they did not understand it. The explanation is very clear and it is a good rebus period!! I got here and now like a lot of others, but the answer is great.
I thought it was a very clever rebus. Didn't remember that I'd seen it before - Thanks for posting!

don't sweat it. We got only 341 "viewers" (LOWEST in quite a while)
so nobody (much) is going to see it.

*"seeing" my Dad on the site (actually not seeing HIM ... but his trace ... he died in 200 reminded me of one of his fav "sign-offs" - especially as he garnered the "red cherries" ...
LADS = (your) "Loyal And Devoted Servant"
Cute, huh ????

Oh well didn't get that one. My first response: "here and now" which led to "in the here and now." Fun though!
I didn't get it, but when I saw the answer..... That was GREAT!!
I didn't get it. Like a lot of others I got hung up on "here and now".
Great comments, folks.
I think Rebuses are the "acid test" of understanding language nuance and usage.
If one TRULY understands the nature and purpose of the Rebus, then one can more readily understand transitions to other languages.
And that's where we are "at" - a diversity world.
OK ... listen up everybody ....
REBUS STUDY TIME ...
(just kidding ... I know half of you "hate the day they were born" ...)
G'bye LADS
