5 X 5 Chess Board Puzzle
Logic puzzles require you to think. You will have to be logical in your reasoning.
You have a 5 x 5 chess board. You must place 5 queens so that you can place three pawns on the board and they will not be taken.
Answer
In (row, column) format
Queens:
(1,3)
(2,1)
(1,4)
(3,1)
(2,4)
Pawns:
(4,5)
(5,5)
(5,2)
The board can also be rotated for all of the different positions.

| I'm not a chess whiz or a cheese whiz but if you put a queen at each of the four corners, you leave four positions unthreatened around the middle. You could then place the 5th queen..err..maybe I am a cheese whiz .. nice puzzle!  |
