cool teaser it really made me think
ok
that 2 ppl in the music room tricked me 4 a while, but then i realised what it was...great job
got it, no problem.
This made me think. Great job!
At first I couldn't figure out the last clue....but then I realized that if Joplin were calling Schubert a "food" name, then it was most likely happening in the dining room! Great Teaser!
Though I did get the correct answer, since the are no clues for Hayden, and Schubert only "hates" books, one could switch them.
I don't read that much either, but still spend time at the library.

Would those clues really stand up in court as valid evidence? Or am I being too literal here?
another good one, It took me a while for the sherbet thing though
im embarrased at myself... i thought Joplin did it! nicely done.
This one can't be solved. The clues given are not complete. Becuase someone doesn't like books does not mean they can't go into a library or study. And because they sy the word sherbet, does not mean they are in a kitchen. This is a very poorly written teaser.
I'm afriad I have to agree with the last comment. All of those things require assumptions. This is more of a trick, not logic at all.
I agree with the last 2 comments. This teaser has incomplete clues...
I thought Gershwin did it because I did not of thnik books in the study.
With a little guess work one comes to the answer! Isn't that how it is in real life? I enjoyed your teaser Swig.
Good one! ( i knew that Schubert was in the music room, but thought Hayden was in there with him since you said 2 ppl.) Fooled me!
I don't think there was enough background material to answer the question properly. Great idea though. There should be more music teasers.
haha sherbert!! LOVED IT!!!
I found I could switch Shubert and Joplin around in either the dining room or music room...
I didn't "get it" that if one was name calling another "sherbet" that this was a sure bet they were in the kitchen at the time.
Sorry, but I thought this was a stretch. I like your other teasers, but not so much this one.

wooh.. the dead body made me confused.
This teaser can be written as a set of linear equations/inequalities of integer and binary variables. A scip model for solving it can be found at

I am also sceptical of the logical interpretion ...
Beside, the suspects ... should they be named after composers? Then it should be Haydn (Joseph). And I am not quite sure, if Scott Joplin is as famous as the others ;)
