A man holds out his closed fist and says: "I am holding two coins in my hand. The sum of these coins comes to exactly 55 cents. One of the coins is not a nickel. Can you tell me the value of each of the coins?"

| No offence, but that was SIMPLE! (apart from the fact that I didn't know what a nickel was worth) but once I saw that (I'm an Aussie) it was pretty damn obvious... One isn't 5 cents, I have 55 cents... HOW EASY IS THAT? No offence, but it was pretty lame...

| Have to agree with the majority here. I've heard this one in the 55c and 30c variations since I was a kid. Also think it belongs in tricks. Childrens' tricks if we had them. |
