Blackjack Mishap
Trivia brain teasers have some element of trivia in them, but they are not just pure trivia questions.
A long time gambler sits down at a blackjack table at a casino. He is dealt two cards that come to a whopping total of twelve. He asks for a hit, receives another card, and the total of his cards is still twelve. What two cards was he first dealt? And what was his third card?
HintThere are four options for the third card dealt to him.

Answer
His first two cards were two aces, totaling to twelve, and the third card could have been a ten, jack, queen, or king, changing the value of the two aces to one each.

| WAY TOO EASY.
But then again I work as a pit boss in a casino here in atlantic city. Before that one of the games I dealt was BJ so I had an unfair advantage on this one. |

| I don't buy this one. If the subject was, indeed, a long-time gambler, he would have gone double-down with a pair of aces. |

| I feel really dumb I didn't know that a third card could change the value of the other cards. I liked it though |

| EXTREMELY EASY. I play blackjack. Still fun. By the way a good player would NEVER doubledown on aces. That player would SPLIT them. Always split aces and eights. |

| For those who didn't understand the value thing...an ace is 1 OR 11. Two aces would equal 2 OR 12. Then the next card could be a 10,J,Q,or K as stated...and then one would decided to make the aces 1 each so they would not go over 21. THUS....adding a 10 would make it 12 still.
I don't even play poker....but I knew the answer quickly.
I still found it enjoyable and have to know that not everyone would find this EASY. |

| Norcekri, don't you mean that he'd have split them, rather than doubling down? |
