 Even after looking at the answer I don't understand it...Explain!!! I'm pretty good at math, at least I thought so until this puzzle???!!!!

 it would take me a lifetime to figure that one out! I never got past Algebra 3 & 4. I've been out of school for 13 years!

PI = Diameter / Radius
It used for the area of a circled:
Area = PI * r ^ 2

 I guess my mind won't work in rounding with these series things. I'll have to add another dimension to my problemsolving, where every 8 could be 8.82...

 I did it another way and got 280,b y checking the diff between the numbers and the diff between those numbers and then adding back to reach the next no. Wonder if that made any sense !
