I liked it. I got it. Is it considered a compound Rebus?
This is good.

Great Teaser! I Absolutely LOVED It!!
I rate it "too fun for words"!!!

very well done
Laughing hysterically because I got the answer correct, sort of. But I couldn't put it together...and was puzzled by what "too funny forwards" meant!!!
2 confusing.......
That is AWESOME!
I didn't get it at first, but a GREAT rebus.
Smart!

wow, good one!

That 'un was funny
"PRECEDED?????"
SOMEHOW I THINK PRECEDE MEANS TO GO BEFORE.
WHO'S MINDING THE STORE?

You know something, Imurray, I think you are right. I mean the rebus is good, but the way it was explained is wrong. Pre - always means before.
'Precede' can also mean to place in order of impotance so to give precedence to the 4 words would have made nonsense of the teaser!
Loosen up, guys, it's only a game!

I meant importance!
ok i suk @ rebus :-(

I'm pretty useless at these yet they're mostly pretty obvious when you look up the answer (i.e. 'cheat'!). Guess I'll have to keep practising ...
A good fun puzzle but I take the previous point about the explanation. Perhaps "2 (Too) Fun: E"s precede "4 (for) words" ...?

Not bad! I enjoy trying rebuses but I am not the best at figuring them out. I didn't get this one.
Great job writing it though.
Take it easy...

Unfortunately I needed the hint to get it. Really good rebus. It's going in my favorites.
bravo
Clue was basackwards
That *was* funny!
Got it! Fun! Thanks!
I didn't notice the incorrect use of "preceded" until I read the other comments.

Didn't like it much.
Very Good Swaff, I also got the impression that prededed was used incorrectly, but by that time the answer was I guess it didn't matter. Enjoyable, as usual.
I'm with imurray this time. I didn't really like the puzzle - and the "fun:e"s were SUCCEDED by the four words.
I liked it, BUT I agree with other posters that the explanation should have read "followed by" and not preceeded. BUT other than that I liked it. It took me a minute to figure what the significance of separating "This, Is, A, Rebus was....but ok, I got it.
This was a good teaser and the word "preceded' was not necessarily used incorrectly.
e.g. " the body guards preceded the President and Prime Ministerr into the hall".
This means that they were in front of them but obviously they don't take precedence. So it can also be written as, "the President preceded into the hall followed by the Prime Minister".

i wish i could submit such great teasers...
Swaff, this was another AWESOME teaser... no big surprise there. But I don't understand why people have to call your mistakes...? Are they just jealous? Or do they have nothing else better to do with their time? Anyway, it was a terrific teaser and I LOVED it!!!
I liked it!!! I didn't get it until I saw the hint. You did a great job
really great teaser. ♥♥ needed hint to get it. this is one for the favs.
Quite Honestly, this IS a Totally Awesome teaser! Even though I am not very good with rebus's, this one is great! I had the *too great* part, but the *four words* didn't fit with me, soon enough... Keep up the fantastic work, w/ the rebus's and any other teasers. I can still learn to enjoy them.
You know you can get it without worrying about all the "pre" business. Good job!!
Meh, I submitted this so long ago, the answer explanation is so messed up. It's already been "corrected" twice, just deal with it .
good one!
M E S A G E M E P L E A S E!
M E S A G E M E P L E A S E!
Don't you mean "followed by four words" instead of "preceded"?
Nevertheless, it's good.

WELL I DIDNT GET IT ,BUT I LIKED READING THE COMMENTS AND CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG BUT I
THING "PRECEDED BY" IS CORRECT. GRAMMATICALLY SPEAKING - I THINK IT IS SIMILAR TO "FOLLOWED BY"

Sorry, Kitty--they are opposites.
But the explanation had nothing to do with the rebus and it's solution--so what's all the fuss about? I'm sure it was just a slip-up as we all do a typo or spelling goof sometimes.
I thought the teaser was lots of fun and I didn't get it! But I'm going to try it on my class.

Fun one. I got the "2 funny 4" but I couldn't come up with the word "word!"
good one-didn't get it but enjoyed it
lol, that was really cute
Good Job, I was completely confused.
I got the funnies right away, looked at it like a confused cocker spaniel, then gave in to the hint. That confued me even more. Well done!
I'm with the previous poster. I was stuck on the funnies, but got confused by the hint. I sometimes wonder if my previous experience at "sucking" at rebuses affects my ability to make sense of the ones in the future. I'm trying to get past that, but ... it hasn't worked yet. We'll see on the future teasers of the day!
