| To "get it", you will need something you can see through to trace the lines with. Or just get a piece of regular paper, hold it below the bottom line and draw just below the bottom curve the same exact distance. A little tricky.
Then measure your new bottom line against the top 2 lines the same way. They are the same curve. Which means if you continued all the lines into a complete circle, the circles would turn out the same size.
HARD to BELIEVE!
What fools you is the big space between the top 2 lines. It seems to be squeezing down. But doesn't stay that way. |
