| If I were more of a geography buff, this would have been a lot more fun, but alas, I am not!
However, its lack of interesting-ness (yes, that's a real word, heh heh) is just my own personal problem. |

| A very simple one. I think it would have been more interesting if the clues in Part B were not in the same order as the countries (after unscrambling) in Part A! |

| You really made it hard by picking all those two-word countries! Naughty, naughty! Did you mean for them to correspond by number? I thought they were gonna be mkxed up, the clues. But, even though the clues matched the anagram, I still didn't get two of them, ha!!!!! |

I wish I would have the time to comment on more of your teasers as the progress you are making is remarkable. I can only admire the fact that you are improving this site with some high quality, interesting, and fun teasers, that I look up to! Keep up the great job! |

Feb 23, 2006
| Good teaser.
A couple of things: I agree with RRAMMOHAN that the clues in Part 2 should have been mixed up, so that we could match them up like it said in the instructions. That would have given it an added layer of fun and made it perfect! As it is now, if you can't figure one out, you have but to look at its corresponding clue to get the right answer.
Second, I personally liked the fact that the two-word countries weren't separated. Made it that much more challenging. Good job!
(Man, once I get started, I just don't shut up, do I? ) |

Feb 15, 2007
| Being a wordy person myself, these were extraordinarily easy to unscramble.
And the fact that the Part 1 and Part 2 answers were in the same order was very disappointing, and ruined a teaser with great potential. |
lmurray
Feb 15, 2007
| FAR TOO EASY! FOR ANYONE UNABLE TO UNSCRAMBLE THE WORDS, THE INFORMATION IN PART B GIVES THE ANSWER TO PART A.
WHEN DID WE STUDY WORLD GEOGRAPHY, 4th & 7th GRADES?
ELIMINATE PART B AND USE LESSER KNOW COUNTRIES.
KEEP TRYING. |

| I don't believe United Kingdom is a country. England is a country, Scotland is a country, and Wales is thrown in for good luck or something. Liked the rest of the puzzle, though. |
AbsurdHero

| #6 is a kind of a trick question. South Africa has THREE capitals, and Cape Town would have been a lot more recognizable. |

| Very Fun braingle.
btw LMurray needs a life because right now he's working on perpetuating his delusions of grandeur. The assumption that you are hyper intelligent because of your nationality is "played out" son. Braingles take many shapes and sizes... |

| I liked the countries you selected. I prefer more commonly known countries. Teasers utilizing obscure topics, including obscure countries, just aren't fun.
I didn't even notice the clues at bottom matched the countries at top in exact order! The clues could have been a bit tougher, but all in all a very fine teaser.
This teaser ranks a 10 on my scale of fun! |
Kharmakaye
Feb 15, 2007
| I do enjoy unscambling. And with geography being a bit of a forte, this was even better.
However, I do beleive that (as I read above in previous comments), that the answers in Part 2 should have mixed up. I could have been more difficult. The two that I could not unscramble, I was easily able to discern from the clues.
But all in all, a fun one! |
Pizzazz2u
Feb 15, 2007
| The teaser was easy, but still fun! But, I must agree with some of the other comments! The countries and the clues?!?! You need to mix up the options, just a little bit! And the UK??! |

| Ditto what FUTANITOGM said ... Isn't it amazing how different one's abilities are on any given day? Usually I'm the one stumped by easy teasers, but today all these other people are saying this teaser was hard, and I found it about as simple and easy as they get. No matter ... I enjoyed it very much and echo the calls for more of the same kind. |

Feb 16, 2013
| Just my opinion, but I would have preferred the two word countries to be separated in the scambled words. I just kept thinking it was a country with a long name I was not knowlegable about. Otherwise a great teaser. Enjoyed trying. |

Feb 16, 2013
| This was a good one! Thanks for posting! |
cutebug
Feb 16, 2013
| Knowing what countries part 2 belonged to,made it quite easy to unscramble part 1 |
HABS2933
Feb 16, 2013
| I agree with Cutebug for the ones that the answer didn't jump right out, just had to solve the clue to get it right away. The statement that Pretoria is the capital of South Africa is a bit inaccurate. South Africa has 3 different capitals: Pretoria is the Executive Capital; Cape Town is the Legislative Capital and Bloemfontein is the Judicial Capital. |

| For those of you confused by the UK:
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is a sovereign state formed over the years by the successive unions of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It is a political entity recognised by the UN, EU, IOC and a host of other acronyms. The adjective for someone from the UK is British. Administration is by the British government, though Scotland, Wales and NI also have their own assemblies with some legislative powers. England does not have a separate government.
'England' and 'English' are NOT interchangeable with 'UK' and 'British'; however, 'Great Britain' is an acceptable abbreviation (even though it technically excludes Northern Ireland).
The UK is a country. England, Wales and Scotland are countries - but as constituents of the UK, and not in the political sense. |
