Freezinjoe
Aug 28, 2007
| it looks to me like it depends on which side you start looking at first is where the A and B will appear.Focus on where the 5 lines intersect on left and they appear in back. Focus on the 5 lines on the right and they appear in front. But for me if i focus on the right first it is hard to adjust when i focus on the left. Could be just me though |
luckylefty

| A looks like it's in front |
Akatsuki_Neko
Dec 03, 2007
| Same with Freezinjoe. Kinda looks like they intersect... also makes your brain hurt a bit... |

Dec 05, 2007
| i dont think this one was very tricky... 'a' and 'b' are both in the back. it says there are no depth clues, however there really is. if 'a' and 'b' were in front, then how does it make sense for the back two fins to be larger than the front? depth perceptions tell us the further away an object is, the smaller it will be. based on that assupmtion, then clearly 'a' and 'b' both are on the back fins. |

emily103
Jan 20, 2008
| A and B could be in the front because they could just be smaller than the back fins. There's no rule saying that isn't possible. (If you're thinking it wouldn't balance, maybe it's hanging by a string.)
I look at these a lot and now I can switch which fins are in front at will... Great optical illusions! |
Elios
Oct 28, 2008
| Ack! >.< Makes me feel jittery when those fins flip sides.. kinda eerie. Thanks for posting! |
