In Cryptography teasers, a phrase or expressions has been encoded in some way (frequently by replacing letters with other letters). You need to figure out the encoding method and then decode the message to find the answer.

Can you decode the following phrases? They are NOT regular substitution cryptograms, but they all follow the same rules.

1) Ni lkna rfnim ajnebse xat dn ahta ed tp ecxenia, treceb otdia seb nacgn. ~ Ihtondlr Owsihtni

2) Nilkn arf nima j nebdae, de ram eh tfoo wtf iter. ~ Cesapeek Yameerht

3) No tg nihsaw eg roege no dabana htes u cxe onr. ~ Effoot Rettebsiti

It is much simpler than you think.

Cryptography is so not my forte, but that was, for me, a nice work-out. Apologies to those for whom cryptography is "easy"

Very nice, Nice quotes also

stick to REAL cryptograms...this was a major disappointment...

that was an exercise - my eyes are out of focus now but it was fun!

I honestly enjoyed that one.
Sorry for those of you who think crypt is east, i don't.

I am as bad at these as I am at understanding a woman.

The quotes just seemed to jump out at me. Easy, but very fun. Keep up the good work.

Yeah me!! I FINALLY got a Cryptography teaser. That goes to show you how easy it was since I never never get cryptography teasers. Thanks for posting, now I can say I got one right!!!

at first, im like.. what??
then im like.. oh! i get it!

I must be stoopid when it comes to cryptography -- I didn't get it even after I saw the answers.
May 18, 2008

I'm with you craniac ... I still don't understand it. I had to give it a "no vote."
May 18, 2008

I tried one more time and finally got it. When I read it backwards the first time, I read the "quote" only, without including the author. Once I started all the way from the end, it worked out.

Technically, I don't think this is a "cryptogram" in the true sense because the letters aren't coded.
