At last I'm the first to write a comment, (even though it's for my own teaser)!
I hope you enjoyed this bit of Australiana!

Very, very fun! I didn't see that coming at all... I had some really odd ideas, but anyway, that was awesome and keep 'em coming!
Cute and informative in its own way. I like it.
Same
good job! Nice!
I thought "Because it isn't a tiger." Then I thought wrong.
It's funny, fun, fun. And easy. Cool one!
funny, funny funny. Slipped my mind!
i should have known that as i am an aussie myself
sooo easy. Cute though. ;)
too easy- but I liked it nonetheless. Nice to see a bit of Oz.
What is this, a trick?
Very clever... you got me! I assumed you meant the Tasmanian Devil (thought perhaps it's sometimes called a tiger) and assumed they eat insects which may make them carnivore, but insects aren't exactly meat. Anyway, I was sure wrong!
This is definitly one of those ones when you read the answer you're like, "DUH!" . Great teaser!
Thanks for your great comments. They are all very encouraging!
Easy but fun! Thanks!
cool teaser
I thought it wasn't a tiger.
I thought maybe it was a cartoon character.
I've never heard of a Tasmanian Tiger, so I though, "Because it doesn't exist!" Who knew I would be so close?
Good teaser!
Good teaser!
Oh, and you may want to correct your sentence. I don't think it's grammatically correct. It should be something like: The Tasmanian Tiger, although classified as a Carnivore, does not eat meat. Why?
Unravelled...you may want to correct your spelling. It's thought...and the sentence is grammatically correct.
Thanks Peanut
Actaully Tasmanian Tigers aren't extinct. 1 baby pup has been preserved in ethonal for many years and scientists plan on bringing the species back-great teasrer though!

Not from Tasmania, but Victoria is close enough that I didn't even need to look at the answer to know it
They have found a contageous disease thats rampaging through the tasmanian devils, too - 100% kill rate.
Cloning the tiger wasn't successful last time they tried, though.

Thanks again Storm...much appreciated. I didn't know that about the T.Tiger.

I thought maybe it was a plant and ate insects like the venus fly trap.
easy
I thought it meant the "Tasmanian Devil", and I thought it was because it is not real.
Actually it was classified as a marsupial. Cute teaser!
Piece of Cake, and I'm not Australian or a Kiwi!!!
Loved this one ! Great job, fooled me.
You got me...good one!
That was very lame.
I did not think it was lame. I got a good laugh out of being fooled so easily, and thought it was clever. After all, the author did say it was a trick. Some people just think they are smarter than others.
Babe, they're lame to the person who doesn't get them right.
First guess was Right! Thanks for a goodie. 😊😉
From March 28 article: "Plausible" possible sightings of a Tasmanian tiger in northern Queensland have prompted scientists to undertake a search for the species thought to have died out more than 80 years ago."

That was a clever trick puzzle for all the Non-Australians; as a fellow countryman, I say thanks!
Great question. The subtlety of tense.
More good than groan, but a bit of both.
