Too many other possibilities...
Arn't there several other teasers posted on Braingle that are really really similar to this?
Easy
man, why are MY teaser's always rejected as they are similar to others, yet everyone else is allowed to re-post ones?
If people are going to say this is similar to another teaser(s), I would like it if they would PM the ID # to me.
usaully i have to think very creatively to get any of these but this one was just to simple. didn't tease me at all.
Yes! I actually got it! Nice one.
I got a different answer, oh well!
This is practically identical to two others I can think of.
What ARE the editors doing? This is certainly a duplicate - come on guys - let's get on the job!
Waaaay too many possibilities!!!! I thought that he had washed dishes.
The comments section is not to be used for talking about duplicates or saying that the editors need to "get on the job".
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA A CREDIT CARD... I don't get it.
Easy.
I Dont Think It's A Duplicate
Very nice! I thought the person was an employee.
hmm, I thought it was a gift certificate

Good teaser, bp, but there are tons of other possibilities for an answer. It was cute though.
Nice and easy, but "cheque", "debit card", etc. are other possibilities.

Good one tho!
Good one tho!
I have been away for a while so havent seen if it is a duplicate but although easy i liked this one.
Good! I was stumped! Even though he could of paid with a debit card, it still was a good trick! Besides, nobody likes to be nagged on technical stuff!
I did not find this as a duplicate, and I liked it. Another answer is that he borrowed cash.
waaaaaaaaaaaaay boring
I actually got that one and trust me.. im not a good person to figure out brainteasers!
I don't think it is a duplicate and i think you did a good job but, this took me like 2 seconds to answer this.
It was too easy
i thought he didn't eat anything. nice one!
I thought that he paid before eating. Nice wording trap!
Well, yongrenjie, your solution doesn't work. I said he ate.

Way easy.
Cute, ez ans.; could also be he/she bartered & washed dishes to pay...like before debit cards.
WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY TOO EASY DUDE!!! sorry..
Sorry too easy. Besides, who uses cash these days anyway?
I do, but then maybe I'm odd. Casheirs don't seem to be able to make change. They get a confused look on their faces if I hand them the green stuff instead of swiping a card in the little doo-dad

So sorry, way too easy not enough fun. Something harder nextime please.
Credit card- Dave Ramsey would not be pleased.
I thought it was that he didn't buy any food and ate his own food there and the bill was nothing.
Way too easy..
You could also answer on the basis of the word "robbery". Robbery is theft by force. Just leaving without paying is not robbery. That would be a good trick answer?
What crime if any it is depends on the country. Probably theft in most places. The law in England used to be that there was no crime, just a debt, unless there was fraud. In a case like this if the man knew he had no money but gave the restaurant to understand he could pay (by sitting down and ordering) it would probably be fraud. However they invented an offence of "making off without paying" to simplify things if I remember rightly.
