Good one.
My answer was to swing it over your head such that the centrifigul force keeps the water inside the bucket.

Scallio, you beat me with your answer as I would had said the same thing. Depending on how big the bucket was tho, it might be harder than you think. Nice job.
you can also put a cardboard piece (or any flat, thin surface) on top of the bucket, then hold the piece in place as you turn the bucket upside down. If done properly, the water will not only stay in the bucket, but also hold the piece in place without spilling! ive done it before.
I put the same answer as Scallio... But still it was a good teaser!
Congratulations on your first teaser - that was great! Hope to see more!
that was smart
Also the same answer as Scallio! I never thought of putting it underwater! Great teaser!
haha, good one. I also had the same awnser as the above..but congrats on your first teaser!
Yes, but the water in the bucket still mixes with water in the pool; it can still fall out of the bucket. A better way is to swing it above your head. Centrifugal force will hold the water in the bucket, and you will still win the bet without being accused of cheating.
thought the answer was that it was frozen but your hint took that away! Good one!
cute, cute! I was thinking the same as most, about swinging it over, but that seemed to obvious so I thought frozen but you hint nixed that. Needless to say, I didnt get it.
i was thinking the same as leon about putting something over the mouth. that answer about underwater was great!!
Same problem as most...was sure it was about centrifugal force...
ohhh i thought you would hit your friend with a shovel then u see if he is unconcious then u can dump it in the sink wake up your friend and show him it upside down then hit him with a shovel again fill it back with water wait forhim to regain conciousness and then show him it is still full with water and voila you won the bet congratulations!
Has nobody thought that there could simply be a lid on the bucket?
I still like my answer best, but i cannot remember what force holds the lid with the water.
I have to do that to someone one day. THat was a cool teaser.
Thanks for all the kind words on my first teaser!
When we make bush tea in Australia we put the tea leaves in a billy of water boiling on a camp fire. To avoid getting too many tea leaves in your cuppa, we "swing the billy" in a 360 overhead arc forcing the tea leaves to the bottom of the billy without losing any tea! A renown bush skill!
I thought there was a lid on it! Oh well!
i also thought there was a lid on it too haha. good teaser
Cool teaser, I didn't even think of getting the answer, nor did I figure out any of the wrong answers that the other had thought of.
My answer was to swing it over your head such that the centrifigul force keeps the water inside the bucket.
I thought the same as leon and its called surface tension
good 1!
Lol I said to put a lid on it first!!
Had the same answer as scallio...good teaser!
