Aesop's Fables II
We've all read Aesop's Fables in one form or another. These interesting stories captivate our attention and always leave us with a moral. One of those morals is hidden in the story below. Can you find it?
John Doe was walking on the road after a particularly rainy day. The road was in bad condition, muddy, still flooded with water and with potholes. Some of the municipal workers had even erected signs around some of the potholes to alert people walking on the road so that no one accidentally fell into one. The water didn't give any idea of how deep the potholes were, so this was really a blessing.
Poor John! He noticed the pothole with the sign "LIVE" and avoided it. But he was so happy about avoiding it that he failed to see the next sign around the bend and fell into the pothole with the sign "VILE".

Answer
In avoiding one evil, care must be taken not to fall into another.LIVE and VILE are anagrams of the word EVIL. John avoided one "evil" but fell into the other.
This moral is described in the Aesop's Fable titled "The Doe and The Lion", where the doe runs into a cave to escape hunters, only to find a lion inside the cave!

I really like this one it has a good moral
another good one brainster!
I have to admit that I didn't know the answer to this one. Most of the Aesop's Fables that I have done so far have had to do with synonyms, not anagrams, so I was tricked. Oh, well, it was a very clever teaser! More, please!
