As for a miniskirt, the hemlines seemed to be good economic indicators. The hemline index portends that the more leg we see, the higher the stock market will be. If Vogue magazine's spring 2006 collections at www.style.com are right, shares could be dragging just off the knee this year with a greater propensity for exposed midsections.
