| Hrm, never liked these types of questions. Normally a riddle is undertaken to puzzle out a logical/hidden answer. When the answer is simply not to figure out an answer for the question, it's pointless. Glad some people enjoyed it. |

| If you were really in a rowboat surrounded by sharks, you could get into the water and swim calmly away from them. Sharks don\'t usually attack humans in the water unless they are flailing around and look like they are dying anyway, and that\'s just to put them out of their misery. We don\'t taste good. | I think I am with Shryke on this one. The whole point of these teasers is to imagine the answer, so it's funny to be told to stop.
Moreover, in what sense does imagining the scenario threaten lack of survival? It seems to me that it doesn't, so I'm not sure the answer actually makes sense.

| At the risk of being "booed" by all the people that enjoyed this one, I have to say it barely qualifies as a grade-school joke.
Yes- I did not "get it." I read the riddle assuming that the writer could properly craft a sentence in English. When the answer is a play on the words, rather than an actual solution to the question, the sentence should be properly constructed.
In order for the answer to make sense, the question would have to be written, "How do you survive if you imagine you are in a sinking rowboat surrounded by sharks?"
Frankly, I'm surprised that so many people like this one. There are many more that are more challenging and interesting than this one. |

Because the original teaser implies that you are going to die in real life, I can imagine that many people were actually misleaded by the wording of the whole teaser. |

Any answer would work for this anyway. Like: Imagine I survive - do nothing because I would survive anyway since its just imagination. Imagine the sharks have no teeth, etc. . |

| If I may be so bold, it was rather silly...
Also, there are a couple of problems:
1) The conditional mood in the interrogative implies that the interrogative is inquiring about what the reader should do in the situation that he or she is told to imagine in the first sentence.
2) Even if you use the future simple in the interrogative, the answer should be 'do nothing' as imagining itself does not prevent the reader from surviving. |
