Walking With Hands For a Mile and a Half
A magician recently claimed that he had been to New York City performing a feat that no one else had accomplished. He boasted that he had walked on his hands for a mile and a half down a typical cement sidewalk before he lost his balance and fell. What is wrong with the magician's claim?
Answer
There is no such thing as a cement sidewalk in New York City or anywhere else.Sidewalks are made of concrete. Cement is merely one of the several ingredients that make up concrete. Concrete is made of sand, gravel, water, and finally cement, which is the active agent that binds all of the materials.

He could have still done it on the CONCRETE sidewalk. I hope you are not proving that he didnt do it.

I thought it was that someone else had done it...
Hehe, I thought that the trick was that he was walking with his feet on his hands, but then I thought, "Oh, he's lying because obviously, you can't REALLY walk on your hands like that, because you would just be stepping on them, not necessarily walking on them." Hehe, I thought I was being pretty smart.
Good one! Going under my Favorites! I had the same train of thought as friesaregood
i thought it was because there are not any sidewalks 1 1/2 continuous miles long. the streets intersect.
I thought the same thing. There are no 1.5 mile sidewalks (that I am aware of) and turning would be a pain.
i was thinking that a NY sidewalk wowhd be too crowded.
even if they were made of concrete he'd have a lot of trouble lookiing out for cabs zooming by at the crosswalks. ever try looking sideways while walking on your hands? And he would have to cross at least eleven. nice trick though. maybe he had one made of rubber cement in Central park. that would be more comfortable, but a sticky situation none the less
I hope that proves he didn't do it
...Or he would be run over by a crazy cab driver. (I guess the moral of this story is, well there are two morals. The first is, know your facts or you'll look really stupid. The second is, always wear a seatbelt when you're riding in a cab in New York... you never know whether or not you'll get a crazy cabbie. )
Great teaser!

I thought that there was no such think as a mile and a half sidewalk. Haha that was my answer. Clever REAL answer though (:
