## Holding Hands

Logic puzzles require you to think. You will have to be logical in your reasoning.

Puzzle ID: #48620 Fun: (2.25) Difficulty: (1.38) Category: Logic Submitted By: mjk13 Corrected By: Mathgeek007

A man and woman run through a field holding hands. They bound toward the sunset, happy as can be. Suddenly, the man moves off of his straight line course and starts veering to his left. At the same time, the woman begins running off to her right.
They continue this for a full minute, but never let go of each others hands. How is this possible?

braingle100 Apr 11, 2011 This seems like it would be better in the logic section. princess2007 Apr 13, 2011 Does it even matter whether they're going east or west?? They can be running in any direction, just facing eachother, other than the man's left and the woman's right. And then, they just change direction! Got it! And totally loved it! labbie Apr 17, 2011 This is exactly the same as running the same Mathgeek007 Apr 28, 2011 It is. zembobo Nov 17, 2011 I got it right! I also thought of two other answers: 1) They were running VERY slowly for that minute 2) The veering off was so slight that it didn't make a difference over 1 minute. Like maybe .0000000001 degrees.
