Man Overboard
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.
A man holidaying abroad was alone on his yacht when he fell off into deep water. He was a non-swimmer and wasn't wearing anything to help keep him afloat. He was rescued half an hour later. Why didn't he drown?
HintThe previous day he had bought some postcards of Jerusalem.

Answer
He fell into the Dead Sea, which lies between Israel and Jordan. The water of the Dead Sea is so salty and dense that anyone floats very easily.

| Hmm, this sounds like trivia to me. Very informative though! I'll check it out next time I fall off my yacht into the Dead Sea. |
