Late Arrival
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.
A father was speaking to his teenage daughter: "You arrived very late, at 3 o'clock in the morning, and you kept me and your mother waiting up anxiously for you. I do not want that to ever happen again."
"But Father," the girl replied, "I will never be able to do that again." What did she mean?
Hint1. All the statements were correct. The father was not angry - he was teasing his daughter. The girl couldn't arrive in that fashion again because what she did can only be done once.
2. The statements made did not refer to the previous night, or any recent night.

good puzzle, I think that if you would of wrote, "How is this possible?", instead of "What did she mean?"...It would be a little more clearer. But good job, I like it.

That was fun and well written - though I'm glad I persevered to the answer without using your hint. The hint was a bit too generous, I think.

I figured mom must have died in the last hour, hence it's not possible to keep both parents up waiting ever again. Before I read the hints.
