Get it off the shelf! That is my favourite book. Ever. You will not be disappointed.

May I also suggest O. Henry's short stories? I never, ever get tired of his work. It's so perfectly sweet and a bit sarcastic. And the language he uses is impeccable. My favourite author.

oooh thanks ka-ching! I'm always looking for new authors to enjoy!

Do you ever feel that guilt thing when you have too many books going at once (how many of you do that?! have 3 or 4 books that you're reading at the same time (no, not literally... you know what I mean!))? I just can't bring myself to add another book to my "currently reading" pile

Uh... yeah. Guilty. At the moment, I have about.... 5 books? going at the same time. I really should stop doing that. xD My mama used to get on my case for it all the time. Her reasoning with me never really worked. I just returned to reading Nancy Drew, Little Women, and The Scarlet Letter at the same time. I'm pretty sure I frustrated my mama to no end.

The Curious Incedent of Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling.

Spirit Bound by Richelle Meade.

The Hole in the Gospel by Richard Stearns

It came highly recommended by someone I respect a lot, so looking forward to delving into it tonight!

I finished reading The Little Prince a few days ago. It was a nice book and I can certainly agree with most of the points, though I think some were a little too overt; but it's a children's book, I guess. I interpreted the ending differently and thus thought of a theme of loss and spiritual bonds throughout the novel. Good book though.

I'm reading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. Once I got past the first chapter, I actually started enjoying it. I find it highly intellectual language, but I am managing. It's quite interesting. I haven't finished, still working my way through it.
Has anyone else read it?

Brave New World's pretty good. I think I really enjoyed the first chapter - all the horrible order and routine; it was a good introduction.

Ha. Now I'm reading another famous Dystopian work, Fahrenheit 451. Seems good so far; the basic plot of a worker entrenched in society reawakened thanks to a young and disobedient woman reminds me of Nineteen-Eighty Four. I'd say let's hope this one ends on a better note, but that never happens, does it?

Ohhh I love Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, and 1984!
I have a thing for dystopian novels, though as Roger points out, they never end nicely.

I'm still reading Mrs. Dalloway cause I've been too busy with school to read anything non-required.

Oliver Twist

I like the cynical wit of Dickens and the grimy setting but ... well, I'm not good with long novels. Still, I'm try my best.

I was reading a Dear America book, which I finished this afternoon.

I am still wondering why they make flavored shampoo. I've tasted them all and they make my mouth all bubbly.

I'm skipping Dickens for now because I'm lazy. Bring on the procession of miniature novels/plays!

Currently Reading: Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Hacha. Read Hyde and thought it was pretty good, though I may not agree completely with its opinion. I found it interesting the way it was told. I'm not sure I understand why, really, or that I like the choice. It reminded me of Gatsby's choice to have another narrator.

Currently Reading: The Old Man and the Sea

I hope to begin and finish it between tests tomorrow, if possible. It's my first reading of Hemingway, but skimming through the first page, his style doesn't seem difficult.

The Fool's Run

^ Hemingway writes like he is drunk. I can not stand any of his books.
