As Trill stated on his page, just be yourself and in time you will get karma. I have made a lot of posts (just because I've had several bouts of boredom), posted some quizzes and commented on a ton of teasers and quizzes and have yet to get positive karma, so I think it probably just takes time. As they say, patience is a virtue  Again, welcome to the madness!

Hello all new Brainglers! I want to be friends with you all! I'm kinda new myself. I work a lot and don't seem to have much time to post, but I try. I will be in the U.S.A. in July for holiday. I'm getting excited. Leaving Scotland in three days. Wish me a safe flight or two!

Yay - I finally figured out how to post here! Hello! I'm fairly new to Braingle. I've been coming for a while to play the logic problems, then discovered that there's this whole other thing going on. I'm looking forward to some silly online fun with y'all!

Welcome to all our new members and to those who have been around for a little while and kind of know your way around our site. I am vlerma, but everyone knows me as Grayma V - I'm one of the older members of Braingle, ah, I mean by age. I have made many friends all around this site, some much closer than others, but still feel wonderful about Braingle.
I am happy to see so many new people showing an interest to our site. We have so much to offer anyone. Please read the rules on posting. Just like any community we have to have rules, and Jake had appointed people he considers fair to Moderate the forums to keep them family friendly. When you get into the Trivia and Teaser sections, the moderators who not only see that you stick to the rules, but are also there to answer questions for you, are elected by the members of Braingle. If you do have questions first I would suggest checking out the FAQ that you can find in the last line in the blue box at the bottom of the page that shows you all the online users. If this doesn't answer your question, please ask a Mod. 
And then the Talkbox area, where you might find some topics that interest you. If so request a membership and join in. If there is something you are interested in and don't find it already listed, open your own talkbox on whatever. I have found that when posting on Braingle, be it the forums or a talkbox, the best advice I can pass on to any new member is to have respect for others and remember everyone has their own opinion, and basically here they have their right to express it, even if it disagrees with yours.
So just right in and enjoy yourself. We are family here, and a friendly bunch. Again I say welcome. Hugs, Grayma V
