Yahtzee! How much do you know about this classic shake and score dice game? This quiz is based on the original, basic game rules, not one of the variations. |

4/10. Haven't played in years, but used to love it! Played the game much better than my score on this quiz though, thanks to a strong spelling ability. Great quiz, nice to be kept on your toes occasionally, keeps you humble!

I have a very old game of Yahtzee - It says on the box "1956 E. S. Lowe Company, Inc." The score pads (on which it says 1956-1972) have an upper and lower section, as always. However, if you got a yahtzee for each part of the upper section and scored your bonus of 35 points, the most you could have is 140 points. On the lower section, if you got a yahtzee for 3 of a kind, 4 of a kind, and Chance, plus added the designated amounts for Full House, Sm & Lg Straights, and YAHTZEE, the most you could have is 235. Add top & bottom (140 & 235) and the most points you could end up with would be 375. (That's 9 yahtzees plus 3 designated amounts plus a bonus of 35 for getting over 63 on the top section.)
This is the only Yahtzee game I have ever known or played other than what now passes for Yahtzee on the Internet. I thought this was the original game. I have never seen the game of Yahtzee on which you have based your quiz. ![]()
