9-10 not to bad,i could had done better
-but a great quizz, more music ones again
9/11. Pretty darn good. Man, do these songs bring back memories. The one song on this list that evokes the most memories was "In the Year 2525". Just look around us, my friends. 2525 came a WHOLE lot sooner than anyone could have ever predicted. Test tube babies, robots, the proliferation of computers and the Internet... There is one line that talks about everything that we experience will "come from the wires in your head". This song creeped me out back then. Now that we have all of these technical advances, imagine what I think of it now. Fantastic quiz.
Great quiz...but "na na na na hey hey hey goodbye" will be going through my head all day!
Thanks for posting! ![]()
ITS BEEN MANY, MANY YEARS SINCE I HEARD THESE SONGS. IT WAS GREAT!!! ID LIKE TO SEE ANOTHER ONE...
good quiz but 11 is wrong mama cass elliot wrote it for john denver back in 1967 and later that year it was recorded by the mitchell trio then by peter paul and mary in 69 ! and then john denver himself did is own version of the song on his debut album the same year of 69! i am a big john denver fan u might want to look your answer up and make sure its correct as i beleive and know it is not! anyway good quiz! ![]()
i forgot to mention accoring to u i got # 11 right lol but i kno wi ts qrong got 10-11 and i wasnt born till 71 lol good quiz i grew up on this kind of music love it ![]()
Ah - at last a music quiz with Real music!! Haha - just happy to have managed A+
for a change! Tnx.
with regard to kindredsoul36's comment about cass elliot being the composer, I must take exception. Cass (Ellen) wrote no more than a half dozen songs on her own, and "Leaving" wasn't one of them.
Thank you all for the comments. I am considering doing another soon.
Kindred - remember the heading for this quiz is songs that hit #1 in 1969. Many songs listed were sang before and after by others, but the question relates to who sang it when it hit #1 in 1969. :-)
10/11 not bad considering i was 4 yrs. old when these songs came out..great memories

Since I know a lot of these songs, I figured I'd have no problem. HA! I had to ask my older hubby to help me. He and I did it together and we got 10/11. STEAM???? Never heard of them, not surprised tho. This was a great quiz. I still hear them on the "oldies station". The funny thing is that they are playing more current stuff (in my opinion) on that station.
Thanks for the great quiz.
