Born with a silver spoon in your mouth comes from when babies were teething the "rich" would cool silver spoons to relieve a babyies oral symptoms by having the child suck on the cold silver spoon (similiar to today's teething rings etc...) (silver spoon in the mouth). As opposed to the poorer people whom had wooden spoons that would put the infant at risk for the obvious. Yes, it refers to a person born of wealth in the old days as they had much more then the poorer people (refrigeration,silver spoons,education). The wealthy are always going to be targets for robbery. Nowadays all have access to what use to be reserved for the few. ![]()

Liked the quiz. 12/12. I, too, had to guess #2 answer. Hey, for a woman I suppose she could say, "Another day, another 83 cents." ![]()
Right on MrsK!
The only one I was unsure of was #2, but I guessed right.
Fun quiz, wonderful explanations!
The Ancient Egyptians predated even the Old Testament for the golden rule in The Eloquent Peasant and at around the same time as the Old Testament in The Book of the Dead. (and yes, I am looking this up on Wikipedia
)
