Ok, ok, so really I'm just starting this game as an excuse to see some of my old friends and because I don't know anyone who is moding a game right now, so don't know where to jump in.
This is going to be nothing special, but I will be looking forward to a game full of the quality I remember from reunion games. Mainly, active participation, healthy bantering, and people having fun.
If you are not my friend, don't bother asking to join. I've made this game purposely small because I don't know how many of you are still out there who have time to play. I might try to shake some more inactives out of real life as well.
Oh yeah, and I'm going to do psych questions. I'll come up with a list for the wolves to answer. But before then, the psych question I'd like everyone to answer is, Since your favorite mod has been gone for the past two years, please fill her in on what you have been doing. You need to PM me ASAP with your answer which must be at least 10 words long. Remember, you must answer the intent of the question honestly but you are free to obfuscate your answer to hide your identity.

Mind if I stick around mocha.

I know! Mine had all my werewolf games and boss games recorded, and now all that is lost, I'd have to go back and search for them one at a time. How obnoxious!!!

Tuku, you crack me up.
Stewie, Happy St. Patricks day!!! I just got all dressed in green and made a nice green salad to take to a party tonight. Tomorrow I'm going out to my parents house to watch "Selection Sunday" and eat Corned beef. I love this weekend! By the way, bonus points to whomever knows the #1 college basketball team right now.

And guess what, guys! I survived the 4-day-long St. Patrick's Day in mostly one piece! Thank God this is my last one though, I'm getting too old for this.

Congrats on surviving, Tuku! I never really had to go through that rite of passage since my college was dry, however, I did go to Butte, MT for St. Patricks day once, and that was enough of an experience for me.

Yeah.. I go to a school that always makes the top 25 party school lists... It's a goal for everyone to be drunk by Thursday at 5 until the bars close st. patricks day... which was really long this year. But I did it and didn't pay for a single drink (unless you count coffee this morning)! It's so weird thinking about a dry campus though because drinking is so embedded into my and all of my friends' college's culture. It would make studying easier though... Was it a bad experience or enough of a good one to not need another? lol
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
I would choose the latter option. But you will need more booze now as it's a dry campus.
But everyone is different.

I preferred a dry campus. I'm not that into drinking, and if I wanted to, I could go off campus. It made things a little more... sane?

How I missed that growing nose! I really do not have much time, but how could I not join Mocha in her "return" game! I will do my best to stay current for this. It's been crazy in my work life since last May... seriously. Usually right now things are slow and just starting to ramp up for the spring. I had to ""argue"" with the architect's project managers in late December that I was taking Christmas week off, and they did not want me to. I did get a few days off; but not the full week. So... I hope everyone is doing fine!

Awww, RGW, how kind of you to say that!!! I, too, have missed seeing my growing nose!!! (Clearly I have no mirrors around my house ) I know there are several of you I pulled in here from real life, I think by now we all know we will all try our best to be active and know each other well enough to be forgiving for real life issues.

Yes, your eaten early turned out to be prophetic. Usually I only get eaten that early when I am the seer xD
And no sweat, RGW, we know you will be doing your best to be active. Nice to meet you as well, several people in here are new to me, though, I know of most of you from your past games As long as we don't degenerate into this game I will be fine. Only about half the people voting and only about a quarter of them even trying to have a conversation in a 4d/4d game? I think I would die

I'm working on talking a few more out of retirement as we speak, erm, type. My guess is we will be going by the end of the week.

No problem Limerick!
Just so everyone is aware, I am on the west coast and currently, I leave my house around 7:30 am, and don't get home until about 5 PM... so Mon-Fri... I will be pretty inactive - but no reason to shoot me. I will be as active as possible after that!

Hey! Me too! However, I sometimes cheat and go online at school on my breaks.

I'm normally online every 20 minutes from noon to 3 am (EST) desperately searching for something to do to help me further procrastinate life...so I should be around

Mocha, you don't have to worry about being "shot" because you appear to be inactive! I have been in games where everyone was very active and I was really into the game... but was getting put in the crosshairs of the group because I actually work for a living and I do not have a computer with me when I am crawling under someone's house so I can play on Braingle! I am a blue collar worker that does not sit at a desk during the day unless my work day ends early. I just don't see short work days for the next couple weeks... and the only day that I see myself online during the afternoon is Sunday right now.
I can only promise to be as active as possible during the later hours of the day and night - oh yeah, when the wolves come out. Ok, I guess I just set MYSELF up for the bullet... but you all know what I mean.
Tuku... noon to 3am - every 20 minutes? Hmmm, so you're not a morning person I take it?

@RGW As far as we know, our days may be the nights and our nights may be the days, all depends on when our last player joins :p In any case, I won't shoot you for not being active when you aren't here. Not being active when you are here, or acting suspiciously... Those may draw a bullet... I look forward to playing with you though!

Definitely not a morning person. my earliest class is 11:30 and only once a week and I still rarely make it. My next earliest class is 12:40 and only once a week. the other three days start at 1:50

@Tuku Your signature... Roughly translated it means "Who watches the watchers?" (or more literally, "Who guards the guards themselves?") does it not? Seeing that in Latin is quite cool, is that the original source of the quotation? If so, that is pretty awesome. Sorry if I am geeking out, took 4 years of Latin, noticed the Latin phrase, realised at least what it could potentially mean and was like: THAT IS SO COOL!
Of course, I could probably just google it, but that wouldn't be as fun xD

HEY! *hides from Limerick*
I know who I'm taking out first round.
Tuku, if that is what your sig means, nice. I really like it. But you have to agree mine is rather appropriate for werewolf also.
On a different note, does everyone know each other? I know I know all of you. Bot I don't know if everyone has played together before.

Haha. Yeah, it does. I sat in on a Latin class a couple times but understood very little (they were already in their 5th year and all I knew was from Harry Potter). I learned the phrase from reading Watchmen for my comic book class where we translated it it as "who watches the watchmen?" Some Roman poet dude originally used it, from what I can remember. But I loved Watchmen and think it's an important thing to remember because journalists are/were considered the watchmen of society and originally they were to be trusted, but in current society almost all of that trust is gone. Journalists have strayed off the path of what they should be to be rich and famous. As a journalist, I don't want to get lost on that path.
Mochs, I agree both of ours are quite appropriate. We would be great farmers with flaming pitchforks!

Didn't know German had a word (or is that a werden :laugh for will independent of verb conjugation, still that is pretty cool. And Witty, it is amazing how much debate your quote has for Spanish speakers, people asking how to put it in Spanish get all sorts of responses. People can't seem to decide whether they should use the verb ver or mirar (to see, look at vs to watch), also whether to use the gerund, present subjunctive, or imperfect subjunctive. See, contrary to fact conditional, as in English, uses the subjunctive case. Imperfect subjunctive would be more along the lines of "Dance as if no one were watching" which seems to me to have a different feel. Present subjunctive seems to be the traditional sense, "dance as if no one is watching (though they really are)." está mirando (or viendo) both have an interesting implication: "Dance as if no one is watching (because they actually aren't, it is all in your head!) Sorry again for geeking out again
@Tuku That is pretty cool, and yes, I can definitely see how it applies to journalism, though, I think a lot of people have lost sight of that these days...

Haha. Long story. My BFF, when she was like 10 saw a boat named that and we used it in an English project when we were like 13 for a detective show we had to write. Then it became the name of the country we made up later that year amongst like 25 friends and I became queen of and that country lasted until we were like 17 and I thought it was a fun word
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Not that long a story :p Pretty cool, though. You must have found a boat from the fairy realm *hides*
It does sound like a good name for a detective show, proper air of mystery and all that. What did you do with this country of yours?
It does sound like a good name for a detective show, proper air of mystery and all that. What did you do with this country of yours?
I left out most of the details because I was typing on my phone. lol. I guess I should have said long story short...
The country was great- at least for me. I was queen so I got everything I wanted. My friend, the one that saw the boat, became my right hand man and honorary queen when I was not there. She got anything she wanted as long as I was okay with it. I had a jester who sang on command. I had 2 servants who would like go get me things and throw my trash away. I had a secret service team of 4. I had a undertaker, and she had an apprentice (I was often ordering one of my servants to have her head chopped off). I had serfs and messengers too. And for some reason, everyone was like totally into doing their jobs too. But I mean we had like a lot of culture in it too. My right hand man, Kelly and I invented a language for it. We created a history in which I saved them numerous times (that correlated to real life events like The Great Doritos Massacre or The Plague of the Acid Rain). We had our own religion and creation myth, in which our main deity was a sun God and we had worship songs for him and the first day of spring every year we sacrificed things in his honor. We had a naturalization test as well as national sports. We also had a natural defense system...kind of. The country was not linked to a specific location, rather to its people. Whenever two or more of those people are within a 10 foot radius of one another, it exists and is available for anyone to enter, but if that does not hold true, the country cannot be located. Therefore, if we are under attack, we just have to avoid one another.
Basically, we were incredibly geeky and had too much time on our hands.

Holy moly! I vowed to not play any more wolf games due to always being eaten or shot first round. I started really hating the way people just blindly made a majority because they could. So i was just going to read some games and stumbled upon this!! So good to see all of you!! I have missed our good thought out games so with that said i will attempt this game and hope for a better out come.

Sounds like an adventure, both of you in a country, one of you the queen of said country, having forgotten the language and having the country going through a code orange state all at the same time... Almost like a movie, really.
What kind of language was it? A couple of friends and I made up a language at one point replete with a grammatical system, writing script (though we cheated and borrowed existing characters), basic vocabulary, and pronunciation.. Ot was a lot of fun, especially going through the social justifications of said grammar system for me.
We didn't really go further than the linguistics side though, no foreign countries, still it was fun.

A couple of friends and I made up a language at one point replete with a grammatical system, writing script (though we cheated and borrowed existing characters), basic vocabulary, and pronunciation.. Ot was a lot of fun, especially going through the social justifications of said grammar system for me.

oh, we were all too lazy for that. It was more pig-latin style, but much more complicated.

Hello, everyone!
Mocha, don't know off the top of my head who the #1 team is (or was as of the time you asked), but I'm going to guess it was one of Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana, Miami, or Duke.

Oh sure... just name off 5 different teams 4demo and if one is the right one, you win. Why not just name them all?
Mocha, she's cheating and you know it! Oh yeah, you already stated that you cheat too Mocha, so you probably will let her have it with multiple guesses.
Gonzaga has to be the #1 team...

Hey now, I'm not naming schools willy-nilly! At least 3-4 of those should be in the top five, and all of them should be in the top 10ish. But good point, Gonzaga is a good possibility too especially as it's a #1 seed.
(I appreciate the warm welcome. Nothing quite like being accused of cheating )

4demo!!!! Glad you made it! I didn't think you would. I'm sorry you have received such a poor welcome, but I tend to agree with RGW, especially since you did not name the #1 team. No, I'm not talking about #1 seeds, but #1 team. That team, which has been #1 for the past two weeks, is indeed Gonzaga. RGW wins. What did you win? Well, a virtual pat on the back. So there you go, sir.
The next question would naturally be, why is it that I am so interested in said #1 team. I think some of you might know this answer.... others might be able to deduce it.
Well, it has been the longest day ever for me, so I'm going to go fall into bed now. I know of 4 people who I have contacted about the last spot in the game, so we will see who gets it first! Then we will be on our way.

Because of some combination of its geographic proximity to where you currently live and because your brother went there!
Continuing with the multiple answers so RGW can call me out some more.

Demo, you win this time. This question did have two answers, and you pointed out both of them! The first game is this afternoon. I still have to decide if I'm going to let my students watch it during class.

Wow. It took me way too long to figure out what you guys were talking about... especially since our game starts soon... I will now shun myself
EDIT: We won btw... I think watching the game in class makes up for it, right?

RGW gets points for following the directions.
Who are you following, tuku?
Gonzaga's game starts soon.

Well MSU, but I think we'll only make it to the Elite Eight...it's generally where we lose...
But if I'm honest, I am not a giant march madness fan... which I get yelled at for quite often

How about them Zags?! They almost lost to a 16 seed!

Shush you! No harassing the Zags. Sometimes they like to cut it close just to make it interesting to us fans and to make everyone worried so they can slam it out of the park when everyone is lulled into a false sense of security. *nods*

Hmmm, I would have lost money on a bet that this game would have started by now. Only 1 to go...

There are several people I've been talking to, I would have thought we would have started today also.
On that note, there are still several of you who have not sent me answers to the psych.

There's always tomorrow.
BTW all of you wolf hunters out there, in case this game does start sooner than later, I have a really tough schedule tomorrow. I will definately try and check it out in the morning before I leave, but I have to get up earlier than normal and that may not work. When I get home in the afternoon... I MUST go to my grandkids school for their open house to see the pictures they drew and the words they learned at their annual open house. Then we are going to dinner at "their" house... so it is possible that if this game starts in the next 2 hours that I will not be back until just before the first round ends. Don't hold that against me! I will try and make a courtesy stop... but time will only tell! Enjoy your Fridays!

I know I'm planning on voting for RGW if he is inactive the first round. *nods* Going to the open house of grandkids is very wolfish behavior. What a great cover story for suspicion.

Working on it. *crosses fingers* I have a few people I'm working on. I thought I had one tied down, and then they changed their mind.
