Draw a Line for an AMath brain teasers require computations to solve.
A math teacher I had in high school gave a challenge to the class at the beginning of the semester. The challenge was going to be worth an A for the semester. The challenge was to draw a picture of a line and turn it in. With in a matter a few minutes the teacher had 30 pieces of paper on his desk with straight lines on them. The teacher threw them all in the trash saying none of them were right. Why?
AnswerThe teacher informed us according the laws of Mathematics and Geometry a line has no dimension and continues on forever (dimension being depth, width, or height). Therefore drawing a true line is impossible.
