Wonderful Teaser. I loved it and got it right away. I have a pearl in a shell hanging in my car. I think about pearls a lot.
Nicely put together. Keep them rollin'.

Rats, I thought it was a diamond, Good one
Lovely just like pearls!!!
that was cute thanks
good one!
i thought it was the moon
Not too shabby,
The answer could just as well have been an opal, don't you think? Opals are formed in darkness inside rock, and they sparkle and glow and are valued as jewels. But I guessed a pearl was meant.
A PEARL of a riddle.
cutee...
My very first thought was the moon, then I reread the teaser and decided diamond. Wrong again!! Pearl is the perfect answer. Thanks for posting.
Easy, short and sweet...THANKS!
The hint gave me the correct answer. I was thinking Diamonds, but they aren't grown. Great teaser. Thanks for posting.

I thought it was hard. Interesting, but hard. I must be tired...
I didn't check the hint because I was sure it was a diamond Still think it could go either way
It was easy. I thought diamond first because of ladies delight. But diamonds are not round unless they are cut round and they shine with brilliant, not pale, light, so I went with pearl. Good teaser. Thanks
I guessed moon, but then I saw the hint and changed my mind. To another wrong answer. Oh, well. Can't win them all.
I guessed moon too, but then the moon can be seen even at day in the afternoon, where i live at least.
At first I thought a diamond, but after the hint I got it easily.

WOOHOO!! I acually got it on the first try without the hint. I can't belive that I did that, because I can never never ever get any of the riddles right. But, of course, this one was easy, so I shouldn't be too proud of myself.
Craniac, opals aren't always round.
Before the hint I thought diamond, after, I got pearl (but I didn't get the moms part)
Re: The moms part 'Mother of Pearl' perhaps?
Anyways nice riddle

Oops! I guessed Opals and never even look at the clue!
I too thought diamonds at first but as mentioned they are no normally round. I got it easily after reading the hint.

Tomorrow, Feb.17, I will be 94 years old. Happy Birthday to me and there will be nobody around to wish me a nice day. Oh well. braingle people have mostly disappeared.
@Babe HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABE!!!!!!
I first thought the moon also. Then I read the hint. It was obvious to me then.......it's a pearl. They go with anything, too.
Happy birthday Babe!
Babe, some of oldies are still here. From one oldie to another. HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Babe, some of oldies are still here. From one oldie to another. HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Should of said - Some of US oldies
Too short too vague
Happy Birthday, Babe. Difficult to imagine you are 94. YOU are a pearl! Hope you have a wonderful day!!
Belated birthday greetings to Babe, who has attained a pinnacle of age that I won't reach, if I live, for another 13 years. Way to go,Babe, and may you experience as many more of these natal anniversaries as you can possibly stand.
Fun and easy teaser; I figured it out after a few minutes and did not need the hint.
fExcellent. I like these classic riddle forms. Very short, not obvious, but solvable with thought. Very nicely done.
This was fairly easy, but fun. I think tweaking a couple details might make it a funny double meaning joke. (The line "lady's delight" gave me the idea)
