I work with film and still didn't get it. Good one.
Darn... I was sure it was Dreamland!
Simply worded, clever teaser!
Am I blue?
Not while I know you.
Am I green?
In envy or just a teen.
Am I taupe?
The sun will give me hope.
I must be yellow,
I'm such a mellow fellow.

I thought it was the Otherworld (/Faerie/fairyland/whatever you call it)
I thought it was my daughter's colouring book!
i liked it, short n sweet
great teaser.
I thought it was the horizon, where colors are different.
Ha! Nice riddle! I was able to figure it out, though it took me two minutes.
I thought it was a colour wheel showing all the primary and complementary colours.

Great job!. I thought maybe you were looking through a rainbow. Never once thought of film. You sure colored my world. More please?
Didn't have a clue!

Good one! Stumped me.

Thanks for submitting.

Took me a minute too. Pretty good.
very nice!
I was thinking of a kids coloring book too. Great Teaser
After careful consideration, I still didn't have any idea of what it could be.Since I never really looked at film, I never in a million years would have gotten this. Good teaser. Congratulations to whoever did get the right answer.
I thought it was really easy as I had it before I even finished reading it. But looking at the comments here, I realize it's probably just because I'm such a photography nut.
In any event, t'was a cute riddle.

HEN HAO! (VERY GOOD) IT TOOK ME A MINUTE BEFORE IT CAME TO ME.
Not a clue! RRRRR
Fun teaser ... and GREAT comment, Badger!!!
I did even come close to getting it, but I liked the teaser. It always great to wake up and learn something new. Good Job
Great teaser! All I could come up with was some modern artist's painting. I really got a chuckle out of peanut-tiara's comment about the coloring book. As a previous Kdg. teacher, I can relate to that!
i didn't have a clue as to the answer..............
that was a tremendously good teaser....................

I guess "negative thinking" pays off sometimes. good teaser!
I thought it was PHOTOSHOP! Hmph!
Ha! That was a good one! I also thought it was my son's coloring book!
I could only think of Fruit of the Loom.
I guess a coloring book was a common answer because that was mine also!!
hehe
I wasn't even close. Like largo above, I kept coming back to fruit of the loom but even that didn't fit. Great job!
I thought it was just plainly a color wheel b/c I caught onto the complimentary colors but I didn't know that that's how flim negatives work. I learned something new!
I must be old enough to know about color film negatives, and making copies from the originals to make different size pictures for different occassions. This is a terrifically awesome teaser, too
Whoo-hoo I got this one easily! But it was real awesome; I'm going to have to share it with my friends. Great job!
Good one. thanks for the film info.
I visited this riddle before it became Teaser of the Day, but strangely, I didn't comment on it. So here's my comment:
Good one! It's nice to get one of these riddles right once in awhile. I was always amazed to look at film negatives and see how "backwards" they look! Thanks for the fun teaser, and the fun memory!

Very good, didn't get it.
too easy!
red and green aren't complements!
in addative color (the kind used for printing photos) red and green are complements. YEA! i finally got to use my degree in photography for something (sort of).
Got it instantly. There's just no predicting. When everyone else thinks it's easy, I'm stumped. When everyone else thinks it's hard, I think it's easy.
Printed photography uses the subtractive primary colors which are cyan, magenta and yellow - which have complements of the additive primaries - red, green and blue respectively. Digital photography (as when displayed on a monitor) uses the additive primaries.
Red Yellow and Blue as primaries are not an accurate model and are primarily only defined as such in painting and art classes.

Completely clueless. I can't believe anybody that said they got it immediately!!!
The younger generations that grew up in the age of digital cameras probably don't understand.
That was tough! Great teaser!
All I could think of was an impressionistic painting.
As an artist, I should have at LEAST come up with the complimentary colors bit. And I MIGHT have remembered negatives. But, as usual I went too fast. I did mark it fun and EASY!!! Now why did I do that?
I really shouldn't do these when I'm tired
Good one. I thought about the horizon, also.

SHORT SWEET THATS HOW I LIKE THEM............. I WOULD NEVER FIGURE THIS OUT.
I thought it was colour blindness
yeah. hey. look, I'm not in even in high school yet and I don't know what the heck a film negative is and I DON'T CARE
nice teaser though. Iwas thinking my imagination . Maybe this should have been in trivia.

but seriously crazy hard
Anyone who plays with a negative effect should have a clue on this.
I am with doehead. I do not believe these people that say they got it easily. Of course if it makes them feel good that we think they did I guess they get some kind of pleasure out of it. I did not get it and never would have if I tried forever. It was not a good one for me. Glad you all liked it.
Why are you such a cynic, Babe? I don't find it at all unreasonable that someone with a keen interest in photography or printing should twig the answer immediately. Clever riddle.
I liked the "kids coloring book" answer, but the first thing that came to me was color blind.
I too missed on this one. Loved the kids' colouring book guess. Not sure colour blind would work though. When I lost most of my vision 7 years ago I also became colourblind. However this does mean I cannot see colours I now have difficulty distinguishing between like colours. I sometimes could not rell if something isblue or purple , or blue or green I would never mix green and purple up. And there is no way I'd mix up the colours as suggested in the teaser. Some reds and oranges look alike too me now as well.
I knew it has something to do with photography. Considering film to be passe this riddle may be on its last legs.
I agree with BABE 100%.
It was probably the hardest one I have run across. Didn't like it. I was so certain it was something else, I never would have guessed this one at all.
Kudos to whoever thought this one up and the people who said they got it, I don't know how. Way beyond my scope of thinking. Good work.

I found this one very easy. I think anyone who ever took a photograph using film would know this. And I liked it - thanks for posting.
I thought of the horizon at sunset.
My answer was "complimentary color land". I can't believe I did not make the leap to photo negatives! Wonderful teaser.
Tough teaser; I did not get it. I had no clue on this one and could have used a hint.
I was convinced it was: 'Kirlian Photography'?
I knew it had something to do with photography. Many photo editing tools have the option to invert colors. I've never done it "old school" before.
