Perhaps a Woman
Perhaps a woman, but never a man,
I cannot be reached by land,
Many cousins, some Greek to me,
To break this riddle, I am the key.
What am I?

What am I?
Answer
An island. The first line refers to John Donne's famous line "no man is an island...".
Greece has many islands, and "key" (also spelled "cay") is another word for island.

The editors are embellishing again by adding the "cay" reference. Either way is correct. Although "key" is more common, at least in North America.

Yeah, that cay thing was confusing. I know keys better than cays. I guessed the answer but was confused by "Perhaps a woman"... don't quite get that part... was it meant to emphasize the 'never a man' part? I was trying to think of things that a woman could be.
WOW! Great teaser gizz.;)
NICE TEASER.AND I MUST AGREE THAT CAY REF.. WAS NOT NEEDED..
I thought it was spelt 'quay' but maybe thats a different word. I have never heard of a 'cay'. Good teaser
1 how could the 'cay thing' be confusing when it is not part of the body and only appears in the answer?
2 Dictionary.com list cay as being an island made of coral and sand, while it lists a multitude of definitions for key before arriving at the same definition, with a refernce to the word cay
3 key may be more common in America, but world wide cay is used far more, and this is, after all, the WORLD wide web.
